*getting out of bed and taking a long bath* The last few days have been so upsetting. I hope everyone will come out of this okay. *sighs* All I want to do is snuggle up with Inuyasha on the couch and feel safe in his arms. *steps out of the bath, gets dressed and dries her hair* I wonder if he's awake yet. *going downstairs to look for him*

I'm upset by what happened to our friends. I just want to be near you, I feel safe when I am. *sitting down next to him* I gave them all some aspirin and antibiotic cream. It should help them feel better. *shudders* I still can't believe what's happened.

Yeah, I know, Kagome. I'm upset, too. I can't believe what happened with Kohaku, and what Naraku did to him, takin' away his memories. I heard what happened with Kohaku and his girlfriend. I just hope he can remember me as well as you, too.

*puts arm around Kagome* Kagome... I'll always be here to protect you. Don't worry. I'll also be here to protect everyone else, as well.

*thinks in his innermost, deepest thoughts* I have to protect her. I can't lose her because she's something special to me.
