This is really good. It doesn't even need another part, although I certainly wouldn't say no if you write it. You did a fantastic job writing the action/fighting scenes, it was easy to follow even with how fierce and frantic the battle was. And your Harry and Molly were just chilling! (If you'll pardon the pun. :P)
I think that's actually part of the problem. This first part is all action, with a few characterisation hints. The second part is the Midwinter feast, with a lot more talking and character interplay happening, and I can't get it to work out in my head. Ramirez is much more of an observer there, and he doesn't have any of the context to make sense of what people say and do.
I really like this. Seeing Harry and Molly as they are post-"Cold Days" through someone else's eyes? Definitely a scary thing. But you still make Harry feel like Harry, in spite of that.
This really was a matter of 'write what you want to read' for me. I've had real trouble finding fic set after Cold Days, never mind fic that then examined Harry from the outside. So I wrote it myself. I'm really looking forward to the next book, too.
I liked this a lot. Interesting to see Molly and Harry grow into their new roles, with conscious reluctance. I could see them being pretty schizo at times- and Ramirez at the feast won't help with that problem at all! Why did Molly invite him? Some game, protection, or just the simplest favor she could think of under the rules? Or is she actually still interested.? It almost sounds that way, and Ramirez might get over the shock too soon, amirite?
