This Makes Me Laugh...

But first let me say a sincere THANK YOU to ala-tariel, anastdean, ckll, and gatorgrrrl. My dearests, your wonderful gifts are much appreciated. ♥

Now, here's what made me "bouncing" in my seat: I just ran into an article @ comicbookmovie where Anne Rice discussed Lestat, Twilight, and Robert Downey, Jr. (among other actors). Here's an excerpt that made me chortle:

Unfortunately, no. I don't have any way to watch it (I don't get BBC). I have read some synopsis of the episodes and seen some stills from it, though. I keep hoping that maybe, one day, the USA channel will add it to their line-up (since they seem to show all the other incarnations of L&O). Truthfully, I've never been a L&O fan, but I think I could get over that for Jamie. ;)

Oh! Do you know BBC American is now showing the first series on Friday nights (or is it Sunday nights?) I bought the DVD boxset for S1 when it first came out. While I watched the original L&O quite religiously back in the day, I haven't liked the show and its many US reincarnations for a long time. But like you said, I would get over that for Jamie too. I just need to find time to sit down and watch it.

Even without watching the series, I can just imagine how Jamie's diction impressed Anne Rice. One thing Jamie impressed me from the get-go is his articulation. I haven't seen any actor like him before and since!

Oh... Jamie Bamber for a vampire, possibly... The ensuing imagery is too irresistible *g*
And you're right - there's at least *one* other likely casting option on SPN, in par.
The two of them could make such ominously delicious angsty, tormented vamps...

Oh God yes! Jamie & Jensen in a scene together would make my ovary explode.

Hey, guess what? I just unearthed a bit of inconsequential yet coincidental trivia while reading up Anne Rice's bio: apparently she in her teen years lived in Richardson, Texas, where she went to high school and met her future husband (see here). And of course almost all SPN fans know Jensen was born and raised in Richardson, TX (see notable Richardsonians)! \o/

And, yes...I think I would pass out from the hotness if both Jamie and Jensen were ever in a scene together!!!

I think I'd die of happiness if she had Jensen in a movie based on any of her books!

IKR?! While I'm not a fan of vampires, I still think it would be great casting if Jensen plays one of her characters. He can be a great Lestat IMHO. ;)

I'm doing good hon. Sorry about the late reply. Looks like LJ decided not to notify me when people leave me a comment. *pouts*

As for Christmas, I'm heading back to UK in about a week, and will stay there till the end of this year. How about you? Any plans for you? *HUGGLES*
