QOTD: Is it possible to use MacOS CLI apps on iOS devices?

When I refer to CLI (Command-Line Interface) apps, I mean anything that doesn't have a GUI (Graphical User Interface). I imagine some of these would be dependent on resources that don't exist in iOS. It would be interesting, however, to learn which ones "just work." Google doesn't seem to shed much light on the issue. I guess there's no harm in ( Read more... )

I'm sure if you jailbroke it, you might be able to find a Terminal emulator to run native unix CLI programs, but you might as well go Android by that point.

However, there exist several SSH apps out there. I like iSSH and it has a VNC client built in too.
