I agree completely. What's the obsession with beating on Tess? It's pretty disturbing.

But that aside, and a bit off-topic, while I'm seeing people feel bad for Tess, when Oliver was in a similar Zod confrontation, people were calling him stupid.

I'm getting the sense that if you're Chloe or Oliver, you just can't catch a break with certain sections of fandom.

I actually like Tess (you know, when I watch the non-Chloe and Chloe/Oliver bits) and I certainly like her more than I ever have Lois. This is to say that the previews for the finale make me a little sick.

I like Tess too. Actually the only ones on this show I don't like at this point are Clark and Zod.

I wonder what is the obsession with Tess getting beaten on in every episodes. Is it in CF's contract?

CF's contract: Be kicked around (literally) by the "hero" and the villian.

JH's contract: Must be shirtless X amount of times in the season.

...now I have to think about the others. :p

The preview for the finale is making me feel sick :/

It reminds me a bit of all the gratuitous Dean beatings on SPN this season too, what is wrong with the writers that they think the audience want to see characters be treated like that over and over again
