*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

When he and Faith had said goodnight Bosco had stripped out of his jeans and t-shirt, and camped out on the sofa. It had taken him a while to fall asleep, but once he did he slept peacefully for a couple hours until he woke with a start to a noise he'd never heard before. A loud wail had started from close by and he'd quickly bolted up, glancing around the room in the semi-darkness. When it dawned on him that it was Faith's son Charlie he made his way over to the playpen where the baby had been sleeping moments before. "Shh, Buddy," he whispered as he instinctively reached down and picked up the baby boy, knowing that he couldn't just let Charlie lay there and cry. "What's wrong?" He questioned as he held him against his chest and started to walk about the living room.

She woke up with a start to the sound of distant crying and she quickly sat up, looking over to see Emily sleeping peacefully beside her. Raking a hand through her hair, she headed out of the bedroom and down the hall to get her son, pausing in her steps when she saw Bosco cradling Charlie in his arms as he walked the floor, talking softly to him.

He kissed Charlie's head softly and rubbed his back gently. "It's okay," he murmured softly as he paced the length of the sofa trying to calm the baby. "Are you hungry? I bet that's what it is, huh? Let's see if there's a bottle we can fix for you."

"I'll get it," she said softly.

Bosco quickly turned his head, not realizing Faith had come into the room. "Okay, thanks."

She gazed at him for a moment, then got a bottle and a can of formula from Charlie's diaper bag and headed into the kitchen.

He followed Faith into the kitchen. "Do you think I should go 'head and change him now that he's up?"

"You don't have to do that," she whispered.

"Maybe I should wait until he's had his bottle?"

"Yeah." She nodded.

"Okay." He nodded his head as well and kissed Charlie's head once more.

She heated a bottle in the microwave, looking over at them in the semi-darkness.

"It's almost ready," he told the baby softly as he rubbed his thumb over the back of the boy's head. Looking up his eyes locked on Faith's.

The breath catching in her throat, she swallowed hard but didn't look away.

"If you wanna go back to bed...I've got him," he whispered.

Biting her lower lip, she shook her head a little. "It's okay. Thanks, though."

"Sure." He was quiet a moment. "I'm sorry...I just kinda took over. Would you rather I didn't..."

"No, it's fine, Bosco. I appreciate it."

He smiled softly and moved over to where she was standing.

She gazed at him for a moment, silent, taking in the fact that all he was wearing was a pair of boxer shorts.

"How's Em?" He asked quietly. "You two doin' okay?"

"Yeah, she's sleepin'." She smiled very faintly.

"Were you sleeping okay? Comfortable enough?"

"Yeah, your bed's pretty comfortable."

"Yeah. Yeah it is," he murmured as he shifted Charlie in his arms and took the bottle from Faith.

She watched her son latch onto the bottle as he ate hungrily. "I didn't even see what time it was, but I'm guessing it's a little after two."

"Mmhmm. Is this normal feeding time?"

"Yeah." She nodded a little, touching Charlie's cheek lightly with her index finger.

"Taking care of a baby must be exhausting," he commented.

"It can be," she admitted.

He gazed at Charlie for a moment. "It's worth it though, huh?"

"Yeah. That it is," she whispered, kissing her son's forehead.

Bosco smiled softly, his eyes full of warmth. Mindful of Charlie, he shifted closer to Faith, kissing her softly.

Closing her eyes, she kissed him back gently.

He nibbled gently on her bottom lip as Charlie lay content in his arms.

After a moment, she leaned her forehead against his, resting a hand on his shoulder.

He let out a breath then placed another soft kiss on her lips.

"What are we doin'?" she murmured softly.

"I think we were kissing," he commented quietly.

She bit her lower lip.

"You're gonna divorce him, right?"

"Yeah. There's not really a question about that."

He swallowed hard. "You could file for it sooner rather than later," he whispered.

Faith closed her eyes. "I can't."

"Why not?"

"Because it costs money. I can barely afford to pay rent and food for the kids."

"Right, sorry. I wasn't thinkin' about that."

"I don't expect you to wait."

His eyebrows furrowed. "Faith..."

"Look, we're friends. But I don't expect anything more than that."

"Are you sayin' you don't wanna try anything more than that?"

Closing her eyes, she leaned against his kitchen counter. "Right now...I don't know what I want."

Looking down at the baby in his arms he saw that Charlie was almost finished with his bottle, so he gently took the bottle from him and set it on the counter. He shifted the boy in his arms and lightly patted his back.

"You're really good with him," she whispered.

"I don't know why," he told her softly. "He's the first baby I've ever been around."

Faith watched him for a moment, silent.

"It's almost like he and I have a connection just like we do."

She lifted her gaze to meet his. "Do we?"

"Of course we do. I don't trust anyone else like I trust you, and I don't really even know why I do. I just do."

She held his gaze. "We've both got a lot of baggage."

"That doesn't mean we can't have a relationship."

"Is that what you're looking for?"

"Isn't that what everybody's looking for?"

"Was that what you were looking for from Brenda? Or Laura?" Her voice was soft, not accusing.

"Honestly?"

"Yeah. Honestly."

"No. It was...it was about sex," he admitted, shifting his weight nervously and turning his attention back to Charlie.

"And I need more than that," she whispered.

He looked at her. "I know that, and I do want something more than that too. But I didn't know them like I know you, so that's why...Laura and Brenda weren't looking for a relationship so..."

She gazed at him for a few seconds, then she carefully hoisted herself up onto his counter, chewing her lower lip.

"It's been a long time since I've had a serious relationship, but that doesn't mean I don't want one or that I can't have one."

She looked at the floor briefly, then lifted her gaze to his once more. "I guess...what I really need is...time. And if that's not something you think that..."

"Let me try."

They gazed at each other for a long moment and she nodded slowly.

"I'm not perfect though," he whispered.

"Like I am." A smile tugged at her lips.

"Pretty close," he told her with a smile, then glanced at Charlie. "He's almost out. I should change him."

"I can do it if you don't--"

"It's okay. I've got him. You go back to bed," he told her softly.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. You just go back to sleep. I'll take care of Charlie, and if he wakes up again you can stay in bed. I'll get him."

Her eyes were soft as she gazed at him. "You know...he's Fred's son and...Fred's never once bothered to get up in the middle of the night to take care of him."

"Fred obviously doesn't realize how good he's got it."

Faith slowly slid down off the counter, kissing Charlie's forehead. Then she kissed Bosco softly. "Goodnight," she whispered.

"'night," he whispered back.

Kissing him once more, she headed out of the kitchen and back down the hallway toward his bedroom.

Closing his eyes he let out a breath before taking Charlie into the living room to get a fresh diaper. "You think I can do this?" He asked the baby who let out a tired yawn. "Yeah, I hope so too."

Part Eight

Faith carefully put the safety glasses on as she stared at the target down the track. Shifting, she positioned herself the way that Bosco had taught her.

Bosco put on his safety gear as well, and took a step closer to her, watching her intently.

She lifted the gun, taking aim.

Before she had time to take a shot he moved behind her.

A faint smile tugged at her lips as she felt his arms move around her even though she was pretty sure she was in the correct position.

Resting his chin on her shoulder he pulled her back against him as he tried to act like he was lining her up.

Not bothering to inform him she was already lined up right, she smiled.

They were at the far end of the range, and there was hardly anyone around but he knew he still needed to be careful. Closing his eyes he rubbed his right hand up and down her side.

Faith bit her lip, leaning back against him a little, goosebumps popping up on her flesh.

A soft groan escaped him as she pressed their bodies together a little more firmly.

"How's this?" she murmured.

He swallowed hard. "Really good."

She couldn't disagree.

Bosco let out a breath, moving his hands to her hips, holding her against him. It had only been a week since he'd told Faith he'd wait for her, and a week without sex had been a lot more difficult than he'd thought it would be.

Swallowing hard as his length pressed against her back, she closed her eyes, her lower body aching.

He looked around to see if anyone was paying attention to them. Satisfied that no one was he kissed her shoulder.

She carefully set her weapon down on the counter, covering his arms with hers.

"God, Faith," he murmured.

A soft sigh escaped her as she slowly turned in his arms to face him.

"This has been one hard week," he told her, his hands resting on the small of her back.

She reached up and took off her earphones and eyeglasses, setting them aside.

Licking his lips he backed her up against the counter in their lane, giving them a little more privacy.

Swallowing hard, she felt his lower body pressing against her own and she moaned very softly.

"I don't know how much more I can take," he told her softly.

She bit her lower lip, shifting her hips against his and pulling him closer to her.

A moan escaped his lips. "Faith."

Wordlessly, she kissed him, an urgency in her actions instead of the soft gentle kisses they'd shared in the past week.

Pressing his lower body against hers a little more firmly he cupped her face in his hands and he quickly deepened the kiss.

She tangled her fingers in his hair, groaning softly.

Reluctantly he broke the kiss, breathing heavily. "We gotta get outta here."

"Yeah," she murmured in agreement, resting a hand against his chest.

"Where?"

"Locker room?"

"Anywhere." He kissed her quickly. "I don't care where."

Swallowing hard, she turned, picking her things up and tucking them in her duffel bag.

He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, turning to find his things and doing his best to hide the obvious bulge in his pants.

Trying to appear casual, she headed for the door with him following close behind her. Glancing around the hallway, she walked into the women's locker room, knowing it would be empty. She was the only female cadet in the class.

Bosco quickly ducked into the locker room behind her and turned to lock the door.

She set her bag down on the floor, turning to look at him, desire in her eyes.

"God, I want you," he told her, reaching for her.

Groaning as he pulled her up against him, she kissed him without hesitation.

He kissed her hard as his hands roamed her back.

She slid her hands beneath his shirt, feeling his bare skin, the taut muscles in his shoulder blades. "Boz," she murmured.

Bosco let go of her and immediately tugged his shirt off, wanting her to have more access to his skin. He then wrapped one arm around her as his other hand snuck up her shirt, making its way to her chest.

Faith bit down hard on her lip as he cupped one breast in his hand. She leaned forward and kissed his bare chest.

He was trying to be gentle, but desire was taking over and he squeezed her breast as he nibbled on her neck.

Heat flooded her veins and she whimpered softly, sliding her hands down his chest.

Kissing his way up her neck to her lips he reached for the waistband of her pants.

She shifted slightly to give him easier access as she unfastened the button on his jeans.

His heart was pounding in his chest and he quickly unfastened her pants, then pushed them down off her hips.

Faith was a little startled as he moved her so her back was against the door. She slid the zipper down on his jeans, kissing him again hungrily.

As she started to push his jeans and boxers down he quickly reached into his back pocket for his wallet.

She watched as he pulled out a condom and she bit her lip as he ripped it open.

He was breathing heavily as he placed a quick kiss on her lips then pulled back a little so he could slide the condom on.

Swallowing hard, her eyes widened a little at the sight of him. He was much larger than Fred.

Bosco lifted his gaze to her face. "Are you ready?" he asked, his voice breathless.

Nodding a little, she couldn't find her own voice.

He kissed her softly as he guided himself to her entrance.

She bit his lip lightly as he pressed her back against the door.

"Oh, God," he moaned as he slowly eased into her.

Her eyes drifted shut.

He cupped her backside in his hands as he slipped deep inside of her, groaning softly as her warmth embraced him tightly.

Faith bit down on her lip hard enough to draw blood as she wound her legs around his waist, pulling him deeper inside of her.

He closed his eyes tightly for a moment as he remained still then he began to move against her slowly at first, but picking up the pace quickly.

"God," she groaned, tangling her fingers in his hair and nibbling on his neck.

Shifting slightly he took her earlobe between his teeth as he thrust into her, the desire surrounding them was more than he'd anticipated it to be.

She whimpered softly, tightening her legs around him as he moved with her quickly. It had been a long time since she'd felt wanted, needed. And Fred had never made her feel like this before.

Holding her tightly he pulled her away from the door. With his pants still around his ankles he moved them over to a bench by the lockers, laying Faith down on it, their bodies still connected.

Her eyes fluttered open to look up at him, beads of sweat on her forehead.

Bosco met her gaze as he continued to move against her, a thin film of sweat coating his body. He reached above her head, grabbing hold of the bench as he rocked against her body.

Tension built rapidly in her lower body and she swallowed hard, reaching her hands above her head to grasp his.

His gaze never left hers as the pressure built up within him. He thrust against her a little harder, moving a little deeper.

She groaned, tightening her legs around him once more. "Bosco," she whimpered.

He tangled his fingers with hers and bit his lip hard as he pulled out then quickly pushed into her as deep as he could, a cry escaping him as his body began to shudder.

Faith's eyes closed tightly as an explosion of pleasure swept over her. She could see stars in the darkness, her breathing fast as she held onto him.

Bosco remained as still as possible for a moment then, with their bodies still connected intimately, he carefully rested his body on top of hers.

Still panting for breath, she slid her hands up his back to rest on his shoulders.

He kissed her cheek. "That was...really good," he whispered.

"It was amazing," she murmured.

"Yeah." He kissed her lips. "Definitely amazing."

She kissed him back softly, her legs still wound around him.

He let out a breath. "Am I hurting you?"

"No," she murmured.

"Wanna go back to my place?" he asked softly.

"We have class soon."

"We could skip."

"We have a test coming up this week." She slid her hands over his back, kissing his forehead softly.

He groaned softly. "I don't care. I just wanna be with you."

Closing her eyes, she slid her fingers through his hair.

"Can you come over tonight?"

"Yeah," she whispered. "But Mrs. Harris has something planned later, so I'll have to swing by and get the kids. If that's okay."

"That's fine." He pressed his lips to hers.

Faith kissed him softly, her breathing finally returning to normal once more.

He nibbled gently on her lip and reluctantly eased his body from hers, groaning at the loss.

She bit her lower lip as he moved away from her. She sat up slowly.

"We should shower."

"Probably," she agreed.

He stood up and removed the condom before pulling up his boxers and jeans. Leaning down he kissed her softly. "I don't think I'm gonna be able to get enough of you."

"We'll see, I guess." Her voice was light.

"I'm gonna have trouble concentrating in class. I know that for sure."

She smiled faintly, kissing his cheek before grabbing a towel from her locker and moving toward the shower, unbuttoning her shirt on her way.

With a grin on his face he followed her over to the shower.

"You gonna scrub my back?" she teased, sensing him following her.

"If needed, otherwise I'll just supervise," he joked.

"Hmm." Faith smiled and dropped her shirt to the floor, her bra following it a moment later.

"Wow," he murmured.

She stepped into the shower, reaching her hand out to him as she turned the hot water on.

"Yeah?" He raised an eyebrow and unfastened his jeans.

"Mmhmm."

Undressing quickly he then made his way over to her, a smile on his face.

Returning the smile, she gazed at him as they stood under the water and steam.

He let his eyes roam her body for a moment, then slid his hands up her torso until they were cupping her breasts. "You've got a fantastic body," he informed her softly.

She closed her eyes at his light touch. "Yours is pretty damn nice, too," she whispered.

Leaning down he placed a soft kiss on each breast then stood up straight, sliding his arms around her waist.

She pulled him closer, kissing his lips.

Bosco smiled against her lips then rested his forehead against hers. "If we're not careful we could be in here all day."

She grinned, holding him as they stood together in the shower.

"I really enjoyed being with you," he whispered.

"Me too," she whispered back.

"Are you gonna be upset?"

"About what?"

"That we didn't wait?"

"Bosco," she hissed, elbowing him in the side as the instructor looked in their direction.

He quickly jerked awake. "What?"

"Wake up," she whispered.

Bosco blinked hard a couple times, rubbing his eyes then glancing over at Faith to see that she was dressed in her uniform and they were both in class. Swallowing hard he shifted uncomfortably in his chair. This was not the place to be having that type of dream. But man...what a dream.
