For Love of a Child (Part One)
Sprawled out on his stomach, taking up almost the entire bed he was sound asleep. Or at least he was until there was a loud banging sound that startled him awake. He quickly lifted his head and looked around the room, his hand instinctively reaching for the gun on his night stand. It wasn't until the sound came again that he realized what it was.
Someone was knocking on his door...at three in the morning.
His tired eyes instantly narrowed as the knock came again and he didn't bother pulling on any other clothes. Instead choosing to storm down the hall to the front door in nothing but his sweatpants.
Reaching the door he looked through the peephole and grumbled when he saw that it was Davis and Sullivan outside in the hallway. The two officers had been stuck pulling a double which he had lucked out of and they were obviously here to make his life hell. Quickly undoing the locks he yanked the door open. "What the hell do you want?"
The expressions on both of their faces were solemn and Davis wouldn't meet his eyes. It was Sully who finally spoke.
"We need you to come down to the station with us."
His eyes widened slightly and he swallowed hard. "What happened? Is it...did Mikey do somethin'?"
Sully's eyebrows furrowed. "Mikey?" He shook his head, unsure what Bosco was talking about. "No, it's...it's Faith."
"Oh, God." His face paled. "What happened? Is she okay? She wasn't even working tonight."
Sully and Davis exchanged a look. "She's fine. She's not hurt or anything." Davis's voice was quiet.
He let out a breath and nodded his head. "That's good."
"Get dressed, Bosco." Sully looked at him. "We'll wait out here."
"But, if Faith's okay why do I..."
"She's been arrested," Davis told him very quietly.
"What?" Bosco shouted. "Whadda ya mean she's been arrested?"
Sully was silent for a moment. "She showed up at the station a little over an hour ago. She turned herself in."
"I swear to God, Sullivan, if you don't tell me what the fuck is going on..."
Davis glanced at his partner, then at Bosco. "You might wanna...sit down."
"Sit down? I don't wanna sit down, Davis! I want you guys to tell me what's going on!"
Sully sighed softly. "She turned herself in...for murder."
"Dammit Sullivan this is no time for joking around!"
"He's not joking, Boz," Davis said quietly.
Hearing Davis's quiet words Bosco turned to look at him. His anger at the two officers began to fade, and a sick feeling began to take it's place. He looked from Ty to Sully, his expression somewhat lost. "M-murder?"
"Yeah," Sully answered grimly. "She's in lockup right now."
"So you're...you're serious?" Bosco bit his lip and ran a hand through his hair. "But...who? Why?"
"I don't know why. She wouldn't say more than who." His voice was quiet and he looked down at the floor.
"Sully, please," he whispered, sounding almost desperate. "You gotta tell me what's going on."
There was a moment of silence, then Sully looked up at him. "Bosco...she killed her husband tonight."
