Balance

Jul 13, 2004 18:17

I was muchos bored @ church on Sunday, so I went on a thought tangent. I was thinking about a lot of the aspects in our lives where we never achieve balance. There are a lot of in-betweens in Christianity. Most people have a drastic tendency to lean only in one direction, completely disregarding the other, and never achieve balance. Here are a few ( Read more... )

"But God lives in you, you're His now, and when you underestimate what you've become, what nature you've denounced, adn what potential you now have with God working in you, you belittle God and all that He can do through you. Be His vessel, know that you are nothing without Him, but have confidence in the fact that you are now His child, who can do great things in the name of God."--leanna jackson

I typically have a ton on my mind, it's a rare occasion that I actually put it into a product. Maybe I should do that more often, because to hear someone say I know what's going on is so encouraging and makes me smile. Especially coming from Rory. ;)

i'm the same way in the sense that i have a lot on my mind and i don't show it to anyone cause i care wayyyyyyyy too much about what other people think about it when really i shouldn't give one pile of horse dung. when i'm in discussions in sunday school and what-not so many people are like "woah she's got it figured out".... maybe i should start a journal like your xtravagance one...hm... oh and i love you. toodles

That'd be cool! sing4him711 started songforasavior, it was so the coolest thing ever when that happened. If you wanted to and did, I'd be totally stoked that someone else ripped off my idea. Hehehe. So not a rip off, but yeah.

And yeah, I used to be sooo shy until about my sophomore year when I slowly started coming out of my shell, and now I'm ... yeah. You know. Loud and obnoxious. ;)

Ha, I so do that all the time. When I comment, I read part, type part of the comment, read more, type more, etc. It works greatly. <3

And moderation in all is definitely important. Rock on.

I agree with you. When we continue to belittle ourselves for our wrongs and stuff, we get farther and farther from God. I think there's a Proverb somewhere, "What a man thinketh of himself, so is he."

I could go on and on, but I'm grateful for this message. I hope it gets to more people like it did to me.

Amen. I hope it gets to people, too. But yeah, if we think such things of ourselves, who's to change it? God's not going to zap us with a lightning bolt to make us uber-spiritual. The verse about the tongue holding the power of life and death speaks to that as well, what we speak we manifest, because of what we truly believe in our hearts. People just need to lay down their insecurities and trust God more.

Heh. LJ comments aren't going to make me mad. Everyone has their own beliefs, and I can respect that.
