Ugh, mah Boob!

Okay, so almost a week ago I finished Rad Onc (YAY!) so that makes most of the journey over. But allow me this small space to actually moan a bit: UGH!! So right about the last week the boob started to, well, GLOW for lack of a better term. And the second degree burns intensified a bit so now I have blistering, weeping and VERY tender skin. Oh man I only shop like that with my BFF from law school... And let's see... That dropped off a bit when she became old and unable to properly digest quest at the same time I became old and fat. Yeah. No. Dressing room mirrors SUCK!!

Yay for the end of radiation!, Give yourself time to recover it has been a long slog! Sometimes, your body just has to say screwitallwearelayingonthecouch! You can go back to climbing mountains later.

I am being very good about getting back up to speed slowly - I have found that I do quite like naps!

I'll have to see how the piccies come out on Thursday (yes, we have to go early and have formal portraits taken. I Can Do This.) I have to remember to take a pic of fuzzy bunny head to share, because it's rather amusing now. Today Mina laughed as she ran a hand all over it. Then she said "Yep, it's soft! Now put your hat on!"

So nice to hear from you! Sorry things have been rough, but congrats on the great dress and the hair coming back and things looking up. And glad writing here helped you. :D

Thank ye! Yeah, I tend to keep the 'bothersome little bits' to myself because really who wants to hear about it? Yet I need to talk about it. Glad I have not completely forgotten LJ and the good folks on here who indulge me. Considering all of the 'worse' things make me grateful that I'm doing well and I feel like I have no room to complain. But you know what? Nothing wrong with a little complaining!

Hope all of you are well!

Hugs and more hugs - very gently of course! Yes, the rad burns are nasty, but they do heal pretty quickly, though you are likely to have a lovely suntanned boob for ages. :) My skin is still slightly 'coloured' nearly 3 years later!! Surgery, chemo and then radiotherapy - it's an awful lot to go through in sequence, both physically and psychologically, so of course you are going to feel exhausted!! especially when you have tried to keep working as much as possible. Just don't be hard on yourself, and if your body screams REST, SLEEP!, then do so ( ... )
