I've been upset recently because things haven't exactly been going my way.  Although, I've come to the conclusion that the upsides to these downs are much more significant.  We tend to only look at the negative aspects of most situations and I've definitely fallen victim to such actions

that doesn't sound all that bad when you look at it that way! i'm glad you're okay and i'm glad i got to meet you this summer...even if i was totally exhausted! you should come back soon, i have a haircut that doesn't make me feel silly now and i want to take you to the mac store!

Look at it this way, if life was all good then everthing would feel the same. You need some lows in your life to be able to have highs.
You're a good looking girl with a lot of talent and a bright future, make the most of it.

Oh and maybe lay off films like requiem for a dream and watch something a bit happier, that stuff will depress anyone.
