i've been looking around on many journals as i do when i'm bored and i notice a huge amount of putting a line through stuff, like crossing words out, rather than just hitting backspace. what's up with that? why go through the extra effort to make that stupid line through things if you didn't mean to type it anyway and just hit delete? or maybe you

It usually carries over from role-playing culture, where people use the strikeout to mimic a paper journal/note where someone has scribbled something out but it's still semi-legible. Also, it can be funny. Though overuse of it is not. That is all. ♥
