It sounds very complex, but it also sounds like you have your head about you, and you're currently in a situation that allows you to focus on you and your needs...which is a good thing.

I'm sorry you're dealing with all of this. I hope you're able to find a way to work things out if that's what you want to do, but I was really struck by this bit: "i need people around me that aren't going to make me feel like I'm worthless and a burden. Because guess what, Matthew, that is exactly what you do." Are you sure someone who makes you feel that way is worth trying to work things out with?
