Fantastic. I'm quite a civil war buff, but what's always captivated me is the personal stories behind the fighting. the connections people made, the friends, brothers, and families that were lost. You captured that essence that entangles me so well. Great Job!

probably my two favorite books ever. the last measure was good, but the first part of gods and generals with Hancock and Armistad in california kills me every time.

Oh my God yes. I do love The Last Full Measure.. but I was just gutted when they didn't have Hancock and Armistead in California... but they do have Armistead talking about it in Gettysburg, so it's kind of okay..
