Claire couldn't cry for Nathan. It's not for a lack of trying. She had wanted to desperately to feel something for him. He was her biological father after all. She'd knelt at his grave, staring at his picture, and tried to work up the tears.
Now, though, standing over Matt's grave, the tears were streaming down. It wasn't fair. Ever since they'd stopped the bomb, Matt had become like her brother. As heroes, she'd always known they wouldn't live forever, and after the deaths of Peter, DL, and Ando she'd come to accept it as part of their job. But to lose Matt to nothing more than a heart attack? It wasn't right.
As her knees began to buckle, she felt Mohinder and Hiro step up to either side of her. She lay her head lightly on Mohinder's shoulder.
"It's just not fair."
"So little in this world is."
