Sometimes you can get into a gaming mood, for example over the year end break, I was MIGHTY tempted to go and actually buy a next gen console. I went around (casually) looking for a ps3 60gig [knowing full well that the chances of seeing one in the wild were nill], and eyeing all those interesting 360 prices, but being confused by all the different

I bought a 360 last week, so I've been playing Halo 3 and Mass Effect. Pretty damn good

SKU's are easy to tell. on the side of the box there are a few numbers listed just look for one that says 0744 or above. Anything below this number you will not get a Falcon board SKU.

What you do is take the catalogue with the $445 pricing and go to a store that has the sku and ask them to price match. That's how I got mine a couple of weeks ago. Got the Big W catalogue and went up to the Harvey Norman and they price matched on the spot.

Fortunately/unforunately you'll be lucky to even find a console anywhere at the moment as the supplies have been dried up everywhere. So you're bound to get a new falcon board model if you try now.

Imo the ps3 is kinda poo.... no upcoming games that make me think i need a ps3. After all these years of playstation loyalty, I'm actually thinking of getting an xbox 360 over a ps3. *shrug* G'luck with that :P

all you need is your pc for serious gaming :) console is just gravy and it's usually weak or too salty :3

that said, i wouldn't mind a 360 for some things and we'll probably be playing a lot of brawl on wii when it comes out :)
