Summary: Kanjani8 (and Jin) has decided to hook Ryo and Uchi together…by any means necessary.

"Alright, guys. Meeting will now commence." Shingo (aka Hina) taps his hand repeatedly on the long ivory table before him in attempt to capture everyone's attention. Within Kanjani8's dressing room sat six of the eight members, huddling around the table and happily conversing with each other before their "top secret meeting" officially begin.

Observing around with a slight frown, he finds Yasu grinning and feeding Ohkura with a bento he brought on one side and Yoko, Maru, and Subaru playing Uno on the other. No one listens nor pays any attention to him. His patience is wearing thin.

Slapping his hand down hard, he calls out impatiently, "Listen up! We don't have a lot of time!"

"....We heard you the first time. You don't have to scream like that." Subaru winces slightly at the volume as he tosses his remaining cards on the table in defeat to focus on Shingo. Yoko pouts. "You could've said something after we’d finish the game, at least?" He and Maru throw their cards down as well.

Heaving a sigh, Shingo replies, "Like I said, we don't have a lot of time. We don’t want Ryo-chan and Uchi to notice anything while we're here. And since we're on that particular subject,..." He leans down toward the right leg of the table and brings up a poster-sized white board consisted of two pictures of said members. "Didn't we agree that we're to set these two up?"

"Of course!" Yoko perks up with a vigorous nod. "Those two have been so obvious that it makes me wonder why they didn’t hook up sooner! Every time I ask about it, they always gave me the same answer, ‘We’re just friends. We’re not like that’. Seriously, what kind of answer is that?"

“Has it ever occurred to you that they might be straight…?” Ohkura speaks up after swallowing down a piece of scrambled egg.

“Uchi and Ryo are as straight as a hula hoop! Don’t tell me you haven’t seen them together 24/7?”

“You’re exaggerating.” Maru waves a hand absently and laughs.

“Well, what about all those fanservice? They feed each other every time we’re on break and they live together! You can’t tell me there isn’t something going on?” Yoko points out and leans against the table, trying to prove his point.

Subaru laughs and points at the eldest. “Your chin’s jutting out, Kimi.”

Almost immediately, Yoko ducks his head and frowns at the other for pointing that out.

“Okay, enough teasing.” Shingo rubs his temple, his eyes closes for a moment. “Let’s just get to the point. We already knew they’re close but we don’t know how close…and that’s why, we’re investigating.”

“Yeah, we’re prying into their private lives. Not that I mind though. I’m always up for a challenge.” Subaru grins as he leans back to stretch.

“Can we split into teams?” Yasu suggests brightly, placing the bento down. “We could see who can set them up first!”

Shingo lets out an amused snort. “You're enjoying this, aren't you?"

"Well, yeah! If I get to spend more time with Tacchon, then anything's fine with me." is the enthusiastic reply.

Ohkura blinks at the blonde before sending him a shy smile and a kiss on his cheek.

"Ohkura! Don't do stuff like this in front of us!" Yoko cringes a bit and leans away from the two.

A sudden knock on the door brings them out of their conversation. Thinking it was Ryo and/or Uchi at the door, Shingo quickly hides the board underneath the table and gestures the others to move along. Getting the message, everyone immediately scrambles off to their everyday positions. But everyone stops in their tracks as soon as a muffled voice speaks to them, one that does not belong to any of their two band members.

"Oi. Can I come in? It's Jin."

Shingo slumps against the surface of the table in sheer relief. It's only Akanishi-kun... He then frowns before heading over to the door and pulling it open. There stands the smiling form of one KAT-TUN member, Akanishi Jin.

"Hi, Mura-OUCH!" Both hands flew to his temple after that unexpected blow to his head. "What was that for?"

"You just had to make me worry. Come in." Shingo pulls the younger man in by his sleeve and shuts the door. "Did you happen to see Ryo-chan or Uchi?" He then asks.

"Ryo and Uchi?" Jin repeats slowly in thought, his eyes trail up to the ceiling. "Can't say...last time I checked, they were about to head out for lunch. That was half an hour ago."

"When will they come back?"

"Huh? When?" The brunette raises a brow in slight confusion. "Probably in another half hour. Why?"

Letting out a sigh for the third time, Shingo takes a moment to explain. Surely Jin wouldn't tell, right? "We're going to see if they are a 'couple' as we think they are. And if they're not...then who knows? Maybe they like each other. Maybe they don't."

"...Ohhh." Jin nods, catching onto Shingo's explanation. A mischievous smile slowly forms across his lips. "I see. That sounds interesting...mind if I join the party?"

"I don't see why not." Yoko calls out from across the room. He is sitting on the arm of the long beige couch besides the others, who are observing the conversation with interest. "Even though you scared us like crazy, I'll refrain myself from hitting you and allowing you to participate."

"Oi! Why do I need permission from you?" Jin retorts loudly.

"Cause I'm the oldest?"

"Whatever."

"OI!"

"Anyways" Shingo interrupts with a cough. "Let's get to business, shall we?"

And so, their planning begins.

--

The first plan is simple. Ryo and Uchi were to receive a letter and both would confess after meeting in a set rendezvous. Yasu thinks it would be a romantic way to get the two together and not to mention, the quickest and (possibly) the most efficient. Ohkura simply smiles at the idea and follows along.

And so, the two went into action. Each writes a letter of confession...for Ryo and Uchi, of course. After checking it over, Yasu, who's writing as Uchi, sends the letter right before practice starts. He leaves it right next to the Ryo's water bottle, knowing that he always take his bottle after. As for Ohkura, who's writing as Ryo, he hides the letter into the younger man's bag.

After practice, Ryo and Uchi finds the letters as planned. They went to their destination as planned. And now,...for the moment of truth.

Yasu and Ohkura observes them from the thick rows of bushes (of a now deserted park in mid-evening). The unexpected pair stands face to face, each holding the letter in their hands. The sun's about to set, casting the sky a warm red and yellow glow. It's the perfect setting for a (possible) confession.

"So..." Ryo begins, holding up the piece of paper for the younger man to see. "About this..."

"I have one too." Uchi replies back, following the other's example and holding the letter up. "I know it's not from you."

Yasu and Ohkura turns to each other and exchanges worried glances. Ruined already?

"I can tell. The letter I have was obviously written by Yasu. There's drawings and hearts all over." Ryo observes with a raised brow.

Yasu slaps his forehead.

"Then...this one's probably from Tacchon. Only he would follow Yasu's example." Uchi shrugs and shakes his head.

Ohkura bites his lower lip.

"Well, if this is a set up, I'm not buying." Ryo tears the letter in half before tossing it into the nearest trashbin. He turns to Uchi. "Come on. I'm starved."

The younger nods with a smile and tosses away his own letter. "Sure."

Watching the two leave, Yasu and Ohkura thinks, Oh...shit. We're screwed.

--

The next plan is as simple as the first. Bring a bouquet of roses to Uchi and tell him it's from Ryo, courtesy of Akanishi Jin.

He thinks it's a brilliant idea, considering that the letters failed and now, it's his turn for some fun. He always wanted to play matchmaker! And not to mention that he shouldn’t miss that embarrassed look on Ryo’s face when he finds out what happen. (Note to self: Bring a camera...)

The next day, instead of heading to KAT-TUN's dressing room, Jin heads over to Kanjani8's room to check over his plan. He had sent the bouquet last night with a greeting card to Uchi from Ryo. The delivery should arrive any moment by now.

"Morning!" Jin greets cheerfully as he enters the room with a bright smile. Everyone besides Ryo and Uchi returns the greeting as if it's normal.

"Bakanishi! What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in your own dressing room? Or have you forgotten where that is?" Ryo points at the brunette from the couch across the room. At the same time, a voice speaks up behind Jin. "Excuse me? I have a special delivery to Uchi Hiroki."

"...Me?" Uchi points to himself uncertainly as he got off the couch and heads over to the door. He waves to the man and replies, "I'm Uchi Hiroki."

"Ah. Here you go then." He passed on a beautiful bundle of assorted flowers to the young man. "This is from a person by the name of Nishikido Ryo."

"Ah?" Ryo is taken aback by the comment and calls out, "W-Wai-" But the man already bowed and left, leaving everyone to absorb the new information.

"Why, Ryo-chan! That's so sweet of you!" Subaru teases with a cheshire cat-like grin. "Giving flowers to Uchi like that. I knew you were a couple!"

Sporting a red blush, Uchi blinks down at the greeting card and reads, "To the person who captured my heart, I give this bouquet to you. I love you, Uchi Hiroki. From Nishikido Ryo."

"Oh my god! That's too adorable, Dokkun!" Yoko tries to pinch one of Ryo's cheeks but the other moves away as far as he possibly could. His cheeks begins to pink. "It's not from me!"

His eyes unconsciously shifts to Jin as the other man snickers into his hand and suddenly, he realize. "BAKANISHI! You're dead!"

Jin then trips over his own foot as he runs quickly out of the room with an enraged Ryo on his trail.

--

Yoko and Maru comes next. They have the "best" plan yet: Make either Ryo or Uchi jealous.

After five rounds of rock-paper-scissor ("the first two went wrong! Come on, three out of five!" Yoko demands), it's decided that Yoko would be the one to hit on one of them. Maru would be the cameraman, taking footage of every action.

The younger holds up the video camera to Yoko's face and says, "Are you ready, Kimi-kun?"

Yoko snorts as his hands lands on his hips. "Like hell I'm ready. Let's just get this over with." He heads into the practice room, where Ryo and Uchi (as well as Subaru, Yasu, and Ohkura) are resting after hours of dancing.

"Oi, Dokkun. Come here." Yoko calls out casually and gestures him to come.

Ryo raises a brow and reluctantly heads over to the older man. Standing face to face, he asks, "What do you want?"

Yoko suddenly smirks and turns towards his side to wrap an arm around his shoulder. Immediately, he was pushed away from the smaller man. "Oi! What's your problem? I'm just holding you."

"And I have this feeling you're going to be doing something evil. Sorry, Yoko, but I've got to get going. Let's go, Uchi."

Uchi smiles apologetically to the eldest before leaving.

Yoko gapes. "How does he know?! It doesn't make any sense!"

--

No matter what kind of plan everyone else had in mind, kidnapping is the best option (in Subaru's case).

He knew quite well that Uchi would be the best choice to kidnap. Ryo is absolutely impossible (and after all these year, he thought Yoko would realize that by now). All he needs is to have Uchi alone so that he could kidnap him, hide him in a closet, and send a ransom note to Ryo. Ryo would then save the damsel-in-distress and they live happily ever after. End of story. Now then, to get started...

Subaru glances over to Uchi every so often throughout the day and frowns. Each time he thinks he got the chance, Ryo appears out of nowhere and sticks with the younger man like glue. (Either he knew what's going to happen or he has really good instincts...). How could that be possible?

When Uchi enters the shower long after practice alone, Subaru tags along. He thinks, Perfect! This is the moment I've been waiting for!

But that moment becomes short-lived when Shingo steps out of the shower seconds after. Seeing the other's naked form, he knew he shouldn't be suprised by the sight but...

Subaru gulps and takes a step back. His eyes went wide as they trail down unconsciously, checking him out. Shingo has such a nice body...and fit too.

"Subaru? You alright?" The short man blinks and abruptly finds himself in close proximity with said man. He takes another step back and waves both hands absently, his face bright and red as a tomato. "Yeah, fine. I...realize I forgot something. See you, Hina!" And without even listening to Shingo's reply, he runs off.

Apparently, his plan to kidnap Uchi becomes entirely forgotten.

--

All of their plans failed. Every single one of them, the band (and Jin) realizes.

"So...what are we going to do now?" Subaru speaks up slowly, glancing over to Shingo and crossing his arms over his chest. They're back in the dressing room. Ryo and Uchi aren't that far off but they settled in a room a couple doors down.

"We ran out of plans." Yoko scratches his head with a shrug.

"Man, isn't there anything we could do?" Jin asks, leaning against the wall.

"Maybe we should quit." Ohkura replies nonchalantly.

"Or maybe we could make up another plan." Maru suggests.

"How can we?" Subaru frowns. "They probably know by now."

Shingo rubs his temple in frustration and snaps, "That's it! To hell with whatever they're doing!"

He stomps out of the room with everyone else following closely behind.

"Oh no! Hina's gone tsukkomi!" Yasu speaks up worriedly.

At that point, Yamapi and Koyama sticks their head out from their dressing room, curious to see what the commotion's about. "What's going on, guys?"

"Hina's going to give Ryo and Uchi a piece of his mind. If you're interested, come follow along." Yoko replies with a large grin.

"Sure." Yamapi nods as he and Koyama follows.

"I hope Murakami-kun doesn't go violent. He should be giving member-ai." Koyama says with concern.

Seconds later, Shingo and the others stands in front of a white door. He pounds at the door. "Nishikido Ryo! Uchi Hiroki! Open this goddamn door this instant!"

They could hear a loud curse at the other side and after a short moment, the door swings open. In front of them stands a disheveled Ryo and a drowsy Uchi. "What the hell do you want?"

His question is ignored. "What happened to you two?"

"Sleeping." is the short reply. Uchi yawns.

"Well, we want to ask you something." Shingo says, getting straight to the point. "Are you two a couple?"

One of Ryo's eyebrows shot up into his hair. "What kind of question is that?"

"Okay then, are you gay?" Yoko pipes innocently.

"Are you stupid?"

"Ryo..." Shingo warns.

Ryo let out a frustrated sigh and places a hand on his hip. "That's right, I'm gay...I'm gay for Uchi Hiroki." To prove his point, he tilts his head back and pulls Uchi into a passionate kiss.

Everyone watches, awe-struck.

Letting the younger man go moments later, Ryo turns back to the others and sneers, "Good. Night." And with that, he shuts the door.

Silence fills the hallway.

Yamapi snorts after a few seconds. "I don't see why you need to ask Ryo-chan when he doesn't wants to. You could've ask me. I have pictures to prove it."

"What? You do? Let's see! Let's see!" Maru and Yoko exclaims like children asking for candy.

"Why not? Let's head back and I'll show them, free of charge."

Nodding in agreement, everyone heads straight for NEWS' dressing room with curiosity and glee. Yoko, Subaru, and Jin couldn't wait to tease Ryo again tomorrow. How fun would that be?

End.
