Maryland Deathfest, how many years have I been writing about you now? Facts say "four" but it feels like a lot longer. Every year, there is at least one must-see band -- bands I have never seen before, and may never see again, or bands that put on such a good show, you just have to see them. Superb account. I am so envious right now I'm bitterly drinking and farting the night away.

I reckon the security guards should've converged on that Nazi cunt and dropped him off the Baltimore Bridge (...there's a bridge in Baltimore, right?)

I have no hope that the lineup will be as awesome next year (I mean, fuck, this was MY YEAR. Bolt Thrower, Manilla Road, Pagan Altar, Abigail, VENOM....crap. ANother fart for disappointment. YEah, I might be a bit pished right now) but I'll definitely try to make it anyway. Paydays shall also be "stash some away" days. At the very least, meeting the crew is a fucking must.

Right there with ya. I spent the weekend drifting in and out of consciousness (I swear anxiety 'hangovers' are a thing) and grinning at pictures of cute friends going hogwild.

It wouldn't take a lot of arm twisting. Promise me enough booze to dull the pain, enough bacon to keep me standing, and that's about it.

Ha, I also relayed your message to Fenryng. When asked if he could be convinced to attend MDF someday, he said I should have a nice time with you guys! I wish you had been here in person to see the expression on his face before he ducked his head back behind his book. I tried to sell the idea with mention of Jesus and tacos, but he wasn't buying. :-)

Technical difficulties seemed to plague many parts of the trip+fest.

Alewife did get the match on -another table talked their server into handing over the remote. Our bartender wasn't of much use -even for fetching pints.

Kudos on not liking Pelican.

Couldn't even fetch pints? Fuck, that sucks. I hope that was just an off weekend, because I'll be bummed if it goes downhill.

It was one of those deals where you have to ask for service, get their attention. I think the better people & managers were off for the weekend.
