That was the evil queen? Honestly, she seemed a little more Stepford wife. But she wasn’t a wife. She poured liquor with a practiced hand, and she watched Emma with a quirk to her lips that was somewhere between bemusement and annoyance. She was poised, controlled, unemotional, and yet it was so obviously a front. Who would be unemotional when your kid had run off and tried to instate his birth mother in your place? Emma would have slapped him silly for saying those things, but this woman just looked like she was the one who had been slapped.

It would almost be easier if Regina could just scream at her. “I want you to leave! I want you to stop ruining my family! You know you can’t help. You know that every time he pulls away from me and goes to you it hurts me!”
She could understand that. But she couldn’t understand those looks, the ones that were both fear and something else, something like confusion, like panic, like heat.

[Sorry, I just wanted to respond with the other perspective. :D Loved yours!]

I thought I was the only who saw the potential in this pairing... The vibes they give off when they are on the screen together is powerful. I like how you portray The Evil Queen. Right now I don't see her as truly evil but someone who just wants her Happy Ending even if she tends to go about it in the wrong way.

I was also the one who thought of myself as probably the silly one seeing the chemistry between them in the show, but hey there is whole bunch of people seeing the same out there and I am glad. :) I doubt producers will tend to go that way despite the obvious something between the Swan and the Queen... :) But at least we who like them can have our own opinion :)
Your story was maybe short but I enjoyed the way you weave your words :)
