What we're all doing here is illegal, I know...

But I can't access that in my country. Not right now anyway seeing as I have spirited away to a land of drinking and partying and I have no access to an actual TV. The TV here I bet probably doesn't have a channel dedicated to anime. Our country used to have that one timeslot that aired Inuyasha which was great and I caught a few of them, but then that was it. D:

Why so sadddddd.

So I grab everything online. Once I go to Japan I will buy some merchandise to support them as compensation. ;w;

No TV in my situation either other than Youtube! And in the office we're either watching something on DVD or sports. I'm the only female, but I don't complain about the sports, anyway. c.c

When I first got here I was amazed there was even anime in the base store!

Once the Right Stuf! began having their holiday sale, I grabbed everything I could afford with my "spending money". <3

MF might just put limits on how long the files can be put on their database... :\

It's sad, isn't it. But now the whole world has to go against a few countries now, as ACTA isn't a US-alone thing anymore... :\

But US is the main player, not even the US, but the big music and movie companies... For now it's only a few counties. Even if the European Union signs as well, each country on the EU will also have to vote on it independently... And China and Russia are not in on it.

I really hope something is done before it's to late... before they are allowed to search our laptops at will :(((

LOL China will not give a fuck about shit like that. They're just going to do their own thing... haha!

It's okay, once they start realizing that they're going to have to put more than 50% of the world population into jail, our homes are going to be built like jail cells. That'll be the new trend and art of living!

\o/ Welcome!

I think it might, in the end because the whole world and those with access to the internet will be against it. :x The entire policy, I feel, is too much of a black and white situation so it's if you steal, you die, if you don't, you're safe. Then many, many people will really have to go to jail for this.

Only consolation is that more than 50% of the people will go to jail together, so this means we're all in it together. :x

Or they can always say to fine us and charge us money, okay sure, when that happens nobody can stimulate the economy in other ways and this means the government becomes rich and the people become poor.

Any of those ways, it's all going to be sad. D:

That gif has successfully summed up my reactions to SOPA/PIPA/ACTA/OPEN. Because the government obviously doesn't know what it's doing, yet refuses to believe that its people might, oh I don't know, actually know what they're talking about. Most people oppose it, and I can guarantee a lot of those people probably download a few episodes of a show sometimes. Which means, since these shows aren't bankrupt, that they must be buying shit too. Oh whoops didn't realize that, did you guys. If they bothered to do research (like Neil Gaiman), they'd know that pirating actually helps in a lot of cases.

Hahaha! I saw that on tumblr too and I laughed, in some ways. But it might be possible certain industries function differently.

Even so, one has to agree that mass advertising is mainly done through internet as it is one of the fastest (if not, THE fastest way to get to people all over the globe) in order to let others know that "hey our product exists!".

Undoubtedly, this spread has gotten a little too out of hand. I see the point WHY ACTA was started, BUT the method and the lack thereof transparency of such bills is just too much of a put-off.

Not to mention they have the right to access our fucking privacy.

Just. No.

Exactly! Yes, what we're doing is wrong, but a lot of people really don't have a choice. Especially if they're from another country that doesn't sell what they're looking for. Either way, the company selling it isn't hurt by that.

Bringing down Megaupload and most other file sharing sites is an inconvenience, yeah, but it's a way better method in trying to solve the problem. Ahaha, I complained but I didn't think they were in the wrong for doing that. But ACTA is definitely another story. It is against our rights.

I think it was a conspiracy, somewhat. Maybe they just wanted to use SOPA/PIPA/ACTA as an excuse to blow up the matter of MU and just make it extra crazy so people will blame it on these acts. Who knows! If so, I dunno what the motive is behind it. Haha
