Raye and Aiden: Update Three

Dec 06, 2010 12:17

Since the twins made their way into Aiden and Rayleens lives, they've been really busy keeping up with them.

Raye left her job to stay home with the kids and eventually she had a consistent routine.

Eat, Cuddle, Play, Sleep, Repeat.

~*~*~*~

Time went by fast and before they knew it they were having the twins first birthday.

Uncle Ethan & Auntie Raine came over for the celebration. . .

. . . and Raye was so excited to see how pregnant she'd become.

"Welcome to the dark side sis. No turning back now," she giggled.

"Pllllease.
If my kids are anything like yours I know they'll be nothing but angels!" Raine laughed back.

The cakes was set out and the kids were quickly brought to them.

Gabbie transitioned into a little cutie. She favored her dad mostly, with a bit of her mom thrown in there.

While Gabe was the opposite; transitioning into a Rayleen mini me.

~*~*~*~

If they thought they had it hard when the little ones were in the infant  stage they were in for a surprise. When the twins turned into toddlers they were even more busy.

To combat some of the craziness (diaper duty, crying, learning etc) Aiden took it upon himself to get a special formula.

It was known to help toddlers learn quicker & was safe (despite making them glow green).

Boring potty training would soon be a thing of the past!

For both of the kids.

Raye wasn't against this formula either.

She wanted her kids to be extra smart and eventually she started to understand what Gabe was trying to say.

"That's right. . . BUNNY, that TOY is a BUNNY," she smirked.

"Toy is Bunny?" he echoed.

~proud mommy squeel~

~*~*~*~*~

All and all the kids were turning out to be bright and extremely happy.

Aiden was up for Daddy of the Year and many believed he deserved it.

Little Gabe sure thought so.

~*~*~*~*~

However things between Aiden and Raye were a bit exhausted.

They had been so tired taking care of the twins and doing the parent thing that their thing was feeling neglected.

Raye didn't really come out and say it either but Aiden could sure tell that's how she was feeling.

~*~*~*~*~

One night when the kids were all tucked in bed Aiden approached his wife.

"Thanks for being a good sport," he smirked.

"A good sport?" she giggled.

"Yeah, staying home with the kids all day and not complaining," he smiled.

"They're my kids, what's there to complain about?" she smiled back.

"I remember when we you told me. . .you didn't wanna be just diapers and baby wipes," he stated.

"and what are you saying? That's all am now," she asked playfully.

"Is that how you feel?" he asked.

". . . I dunno," she sighed.

"It's okay to feel that way Raye," he assured.

". . . I love my kids but I just don't wanna forget life outside of these walls," she sighed.

"I get it. . . you want a night out every now and then," he agreed.

"Yeah, just once and awhile. Just the two of us," she smiled.

He smiled back.

"Well... I'm sure we can squeeze us in," he smiled.

She hugged him playfully.

"We better!" she laughed.

~*~*~*~

A couple nights later Raye called her sister to watch the kids. . . and when she agreed they made plans to hang out at a little bar for a few hours.

She wanted this to be a dream date so she got all dolled up & she felt like one hot momma!

Downtown they got straight to the fun.

Karaoke was first on the list of things to do. . .

while kicking butt in a game of cards was next.

Later they chowed down to some good old fashion hot dogs

and lastly slow danced the rest of the next away.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

That night was a ton of fun and made her realize that just because she had kids her lifetime goal wasn't impossible.

After tonight, 50 dream dates with the love of her life seemed like it would be easy peasy

. . . and a lot of fun.
