Quidel Update 3

Nov 02, 2010 14:40

High School.

That seemed to be the number one thing that frightened Moema. She'd been home schooled for all of her life, what if the kids in High School didn't like her?

What if she had no friends?

What if she was bullied?

She gulped hard at all of those questions. She didn't want to grow up.
She didn't feel ready to grow up. . .  just yet.

However she could not fight with time and it was time for her to transition into a teen.

Nanook noticed his daughters fear. She was usually a very confident and bubbly girl but as they prepped for the next stage in her life she was withdrawn.

"You know everything will be okay Moema," he smiled.

"Will it Daddy? . . . I've heard stories and kids can be mean.
Wedgies and stuff," she pouted.

"There are more nice kids than mean kids.
and remember, your a nice kid. . . so there has to be more," he giggled.

"How will I find them," she asked.

"You won't have to look too hard sweetie.
Your Moema Quidel. . . everyone will want to be your friend," he smiled.

"I hope so," she sighed hugging him.

Moema had a small party in her front lawn.

and by the time they got to the cake she was actually excited to be a teen.

She grew into a very beautiful teen

and her dad was extremely proud of her.

Miss Chantal as well.
She couldn't believe her little student was now so much older.

For her birthday she got a guitar and a couple stuffed animals.

She noticed that one of her wishes seemed to be coming true too.

Miss Chantal wanted to do something special for Moema, and she also wanted to ease her thoughts about school.

What better way to do that than a shopping spree?!

Downtown she picked out a few cute outfit and she felt much more confident & comfortable going to school.

On Moema's first day of school, the whole family gathered for breakfast. A final pep talk was in order but something else popped up too.

We all know where this is going.

"It took me awhile to figure out how I really feel about you Chantel. . . and as soon as I did I knew we were meant to be together. . ."

"You're a great friend, mother and an incredible person,"

. . . if you accept my proposal, it would make me so happy to be your husband," Nanook stated..

At sight of the ring, it seemed Moema was smiling just as bright as Chantal.

"Wish Granted." she thought.

Almost speechless Chantal whispered YES. Just like Moema, she felt her life changing quickly.

That morning Moema walked into school with a bright smile on her face.

Even if today was a disaster. . . this evening would be amazing.
