Rayleen & Aiden

Click for the first update.

Rayleens pregnancy was confirmed about 3 months in and it was surprising to her loved ones just how motherly she's actually was.

In fact she loved being pregnant.
Once she got past the morning sickness things seemed to be smooth sailing.

Daddy to be Aiden was equally excited too.
He was possibly the reason why Rayleen enjoyed being pregnant.

The normal chore percentage had always been 50/50 but since she's expecting,
Aiden had been picking up most of her duties.

It was also very cute to see him talk to her belly.
She was just as excited for him to be a dad, as she was for her to become a mom.

Because of their growing family, the Bradfords felt their duplex just wasn't big enough.

They had a steady income but weren't making enough money to just pick up and move without assistance. . . so Aiden applied for a loan and got accepted.

With their money they found a very comfortable and spacious home in the city.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Settling in this new home felt right.
Raye felt like this was forever and their new family would be even more special when their little one arrived.

As earlier stated, Aiden was extremely involved in the pregnancy.
They both wanted to keep the sex of the baby a secret but that didn't stop them from picking names.
They had a few solids if the baby was a girl but they really couldn't agree on a name for a baby boy.

"So, what do you think of. . .  Garthowen," Aiden said.

" Garth what?" Raye replied.

"Garth-owen. Garthowen," Aiden smiled.

He was really into this name for whatever reason.
Rayleen didn't understand it.

"No. Next please," she said a bit annoyed.

"Odin?" he stated.

She looked at him blankly.
He had to be joking. Maybe the names were cute for other babies but not an Aiden & Rayleen baby.

"These are really old names," she stated trying to make him come to his senses.

"Old POWERFUL names," he assured.

No use trying Rayleen.

"Aiden please.
Why won't you just consider Forest?" she suggested.

They had been back in forth between this name before.
She knew he would reject it but it was worth it. . . one last time.

Just as she couldn't understand Aidens hype around Odin & Garthowen he didn't get hers.

"You're asking me to consider Forest as in Forrest Gump?" he smirked.

"Forest is a beautiful name.
It represents nature, freedom and peace," she said.

"It represents that to you and no one else," he giggled.

They both started laughing at how bad they were at coming up with names.
This was hopeless.

"We're never going to come up with a good boy name," Rayleen sighed.

"Well. We can always wait and see. Maybe when we see him we'll know," he assured.

Yeah, maybe or this baby is going to end up nameless for the rest of his life. Rayleen thought.

~*~*~*~*~

Their first born arrived one morning while Rayleen was in the middle of making breakfast.

"AIDDDDDENNNNNN" she screamed as soon as she realized what was happening.

Of course when Aiden realized also, he felt completely unprepared.

Even though they constantly talked about what to do when Raye goes into Labor, he stood by in a panicked state.

There was nothing really he could do but coach her on.

When she delivered, she delivered their first born son!
He was incredible.

As Rayleen handed her son to his father she couldn't help but feel something was wrong.

"Aiden?

I think we have another one coming?!" Rayleen stated a little panicked.

Neither one of them could believe it but when their baby girl was right in front of them their eyes did not deceive them.

Twins?!

It never really occurred to them that they could have a set of their own.

The new parents felt shocked, confused but extremely happy. They had their boy and girl. . . their two surprises.

~*~*~*~*~

Looking down at his son, Aiden couldn't help but feel pride.

"Gabriel" Aiden smiled holding him tightly.

Rayleen looked over to him and realized that was the first name of his she didn't hate.
In fact she loved it a lot.

"Gabbie.
Gabriella," she smiled at her daughter.

That was that. Their names were fitting and set in stone.

Welcome to the world Gabbie and Gabe Bradford.
