Jess/Alex Update One

Since moving to Angleton, previously engaged Alex and Jessi decided to take a break.

It was mutual. It wasn't that the flames necessarily blew out. . . it was more about immaturity then anything.

The more they thought about it, the more they realized they needed to figure out.
Merging of their assets would result in a minimal outcome and horror stories of newlywed couples, bickering over money. . . seemed to be enough to motivate them to get their "stuff" together before taking that final leap of faith.

~*~*~*~*~

During their six months apart, Jess met someone.
He wasn't the most amazing person in the world.

In her opinion he was a little too obsessed with bowling. . . but he was a sweet, playful (red headed) sim who got her sense of humor and enjoyed being with her.

However, just like her jokes. .. . their relationship was far from serious.

She was more preoccupied with thinking of Alex and this heartache was obvious in her behavior.

During the days, instead of writing articles, she was found binging on snacks. . .

and mooping around the house.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~
On the other side of things. . .
Relationships for Alex weren't all that serious either.

He found friendship (and romance) in one of his colleagues but they weren't involved heavily. He was more focused on moving up the ladder, and working on his music then spending time courting her.

One of the few reliable and steady relationships he's found was one, in a pal named Kobe.

Kobe was a sweet, playful cat who Alex adopted!

From the moment they first met, Alex knew full well that this was a lasting friendship, perhaps until the end of time.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

One night Jessi, boredom and loneliness caught up with Jessi and she finally found the courage to contact Alex.

Her intentions were. . . pure.

She wanted to shoot him a quick instant message, you know, just to see how things were going. . .

and unexpectedly found herself chatting with him for the rest of the night.

They chatted so long that they eventually made arrangements to meet the following day.

~*~*~*~*~

She picked him up at his place the next day and the reunion could not have went so perfectly.
Time stood still considering. . . they both hadn't changed.

Sure, Alex had a cat was now a guest lecturer at the University but. . .he still had that same genuine smile and angelic glow.

"Where have you been hiding?" Jessi greeted.

"You know the same question goes for you missy," he smirked pulling her into a hug.

"You know how it is. . .doing big and amazing things.
Just in a few feature films, you know," she teased.

"Yeah. I have to catch a few of those when they come out. . . when are they coming out?" he smiled playing along.

"Oh ummm. . . Decemeber, March," she smiled.

They both giggled at how fabricated their entire conversation had gotten.

"Seriously though, Mr. big shot professor I'm kind of ticked off you didn't invite me to any of your lecturers," Jess smirked, changing the subject.

"I just got that gig,
I wouldn't want you screwing that up. . .
you know. . . heckling from your seat," Alex teased.

"I wouldn't!!" she gasped.

"You soooo would," he continued.

"Well. . . I wouldn't do it loudly. I'd whisper it," she giggled.

"I would read your lips. . ." he playfully smiled.

"I'd pull out my amazing Ventriloquist routine, you wouldn't know," she teased.

They both broke out into laughter. All this time apart made both of them realize that they were just too compatible to not pick up where they left off. . . .

And it didn't take long for that to happen.

At the game they couldn't take their eyes off of each other.

"We should give this another shot," Jess said.

"I agree. . . we should pick up where we left off," he smiled.

"Why not. Nothings changed right?" she smirked kissing him.

It was like fireworks and after she released she nuzzled her face in his neck.

"Goooosh I missed you," she sighed.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

And sooner or later, Jess and Alex picked completely up where they left off.
She moved in with him and loved waking up to his smile everyday.

Life was perfect again!
