Hey ya'll! I hope you know me by now but if you don't my name is tigger.
I guess you guys are here to follow me around all day long, thats really cool! I hope you brought your swim trunks.
You wanna come with me while I put on my shorts.

~*~

Huh!?
You want me to pose for you.
Oh wow! I'm far from being a male model but a guess a little spin couldn't hurt.

I brought out my favorite shorts because you guys are really special!
Do you like them?

~*~

As soon as I hit the water some little fellas swarmed me.
Kids are just attracted to a friendly smile and it's really nice to put one on their little faces.

When the sun went down I realized that I had a term paper to get started for thrusday.
Reality hit fast but not fast enough to ruin my day.

Writing by candle light, while looking out into the water, was the best way to do it.

*Tiggers Party!*

For so long our neighbourhood youth organization (BREATHE) has been wanting to get a permanent location to host meetings and special events.
At risk kids need safe/fun places to hang out and we really wanted that for our community.

Eventually the mayor of Sim City agreed and gave us the funding and grants to put together the best youth center money could buy.

To kick it off for the community kids we decided to throw a huge opening party.

Surprising enough, organizing the party was basic enough.
We put together a few flyers, posted them around the community and then got down to business. We started early in the morning, promoting and speaking to kids about the new center.

Nothing is more powerful than word of mouth. If a teenager tells a group of friends than their friend will tell another group of friends and therefore the chain continues.
We tried to reach as many teens as we could and we prayed for a good turn out.

The next afternoon, after a hot shower and two cups of coffee, we started to set up.
To be honest, some of the center still needed quite a bit of work to be done.
Some new equipment was just arriving today and we had to set it all up.

After that was done I hit the buffet table.
We served grilled cheese, sodas. macaroni, layered cake and cheese burgers. If I love that food I know the teenagers will love it too!

*~*

We were a bit early and a lot of the kids didn't arrive yet.
Being finished and being a bit bored,me and Carrey decided to test out the brand new karaoke machine. (Just to see if it could work. )

I don't have the best singing voice in the world but me and Carrey did sing our lungs out.

When it hit 7 o clock the doors flung open and the teens poured in!
I was impressed at how fast news gets around and I did see a lot of familiar faces from te community.

The party just started and people flew around to the various things.
The look on their faces was priceless! They seemed so excited and happy.

Some teens hit the arcade, some the dance floor, while others hit the buffet table.
It was starting to look like a huge success and I needed to celebrate!

I hit the dance floor as fast as I could and showed the kids how we did it back when I was a teen. (like 5 years ago. )

The party lasted through the night and I was proud of what we accomplished.
The place was packed, music was bumpin and these kids were safe.
No one was out drinking, doing drugs or stirring up trouble; these kids were just being kids.

It made me feel happy to see them have fresh start and a new home.
If we could have this open every night then these kids would always have something to do.
They wouldn't have to do the things they do and they could really see their true potential.
You change someones lifestyle and you may give them a better life, a new opportunity.

~*Daddy Day Camp*~

Hey ya'll!
I'm so happy you get to see what I do for work everyday.
I souldn't say it's work, I'm just getting paid to play with little people all day. I'm a big kid at heart so It's anything but work.

I usually start my day by getting our group together and having a big game.
Today I decided to play Simon Says with the kids.
I'm the king of Simon says. I always get the kids to do something "simon doesn't say"!
The kids in my group seem to always like the games I choose for them.
It keeps them busy and active.

After our game of Simon says we usually eat snack.
Since it was a nice day we decided to take it all outside.
When finished eatting we grabbed a few kites we created from indoors and took them for a spin.
I haven't flew in awhile so I was kinda rusty.
I eventually got the hang of it with the kids help. *smiles*

Well the only thing that I don't like about my days is when the kids have their little differences.
The simpliest thing can blow up into a big deal and It's me who has to intervene and let them know everything is going to be okay.
I have to keep my cool but just like every other human I lose it sometimes.

After lunch I took the kids for a little walk around the community.
We collected nature things like different colored leaves and rocks.

As the day draws near and I'm growing even more tired I just give the kids their free time and space.
Most likely we head to the play room where they can do their thing with video games or computer access.

It's basically a virtual baby sitter, I know that but still, if their happy, I'm happy!

Thanks for hanging out with me today, the kids really enjoyed your company!
Come and play with us again really soon.
