Cort and Yesi Update One
Cort and Yesi had been married for awhile and they were loving every minute of being together.
There is something special about marrying a good friend. . . oh, and the winnings from Survivor make things pretty special too.
Surviving off of pizza for a few weeks was interesting, but Yesi and Cort soon invested in cook books so their waist lines wouldn't have to suffer.
Time seemed to fly by before Yesi found out she was expecting but both Yesi and Cort were excited about the new addition.
Excited. . . but worried.
Yesi would be a young mom. . . .well not that young but much younger then she expected.
Easy street, with the survivor money, put her career on hold and kind of speed up the process of her new found family life.
Two years ago she wouldn't have dreamed about being at this place. . . but now she couldn't think about anywhere else she'd rather be.
She just hoped things worked out with the baby. The little one came into the world healthy and continued to be that way.
. . . . . .
There was little time for preparation.
The baby was here sooner then they both expected.
Their first child was a beautiful baby girl. . . who they named Jenessa.
Jenessa was a beautiful little one. Sweet as all the sugar in the world.
Her parents loved her deary and instantly considered her, their pride and joy.
Yesi saw so much of Cortland in her. From her head to toe. . . her eyes and skin tone were clearly inherited from her father.
Despite the good news of a brand new baby, Cortland was dealing with somethings of his own. Even though the survivor money gave them something to fall back on, it wasn't everything. Cortland found a good job but recently lost it because of some lay offs in the field.
He was devastated.
However, one of his beams of sunshine, Jenessa, made things seems okay. As soon as he picked her up he knew that things would work out one way or another.
Yesi was also their to comfort him.
She understood how much the job meant to him but stressed that he was so much more then his job. . . he was theirs.
Normally when a baby comes, or a job is lost things get hectic between couples but not with Cort and Yesi.
This brought them closer.
So close that they were thinking about adding another addition to their family.
. . . thinking about it!

Jenessa's infancy flew by before they knew it she was about to celebrate her 2nd birthday.
They wanted to do something special for her. They HAD to have a party. Yesi knew Cortland wasn't that much into the kid party scene but decided to nudge him anyways.
"Sooooo. . . .Cort. I was thinking. How cute would it be to gather some friends and celebrate Jens' birthday?"
He was quiet.
"Please Cort. It wouldn't be that bad I promise. No clowns. No magician. Just a few close friends,"
Yesi bit her bottom lip and tilted her head to the side. . . knowing full well he couldn't resist that look.
"Okay." he smirked.
Yesi jumped in his arms. She was so excited.

After she released she passionately kissed Cortland.
"Soooo.. . Yesi. . . I was thinking. . . " he smirked nudging his head to the stairs.
"Yeah. . . I was thinking the same thing. . ." she smiled back.

Yesi planned constantly and she wanted everything just right.
Presents were wrapped, guests were invited and the food was cooked.
All she needed now was to start the music, set the fire and wait for company to arrive.
And they soon came!
Kibby was one of the first to walk through her door.
Squeezing her tightly Yesi thanked her constantly for her attendance.
Most of the people invited to the party had kids of their own and this made her feel easy about her "new" role as a mom.
The party was a blast. The guests enjoyed themselves and Cortland did as well.
When it came to blow out the candles everyone gathered around the cake and celebrated.

Jenessa had grown into a cute little mini cortland. A little one, as cute as a button.
The rest of the night consisted of more partying and entertainment.
Cortland did a happy birthday dance for his daughter and she just loved it!!
It was apparent that as older she got, the closer they became.

That night Yesi and Cortland snuggled close together. She couldn't help but think about how amazing her life was now.
She had a daughter, a husband and was well off.
There was nothing else she wanted more in this world then what she had right now.
