SHOT AT LOVE CONTEST
Note: There are a few stupid spelling, grammar mistakes that I may end up correcting with time. lol.
Half the time these were rushed to make the deadlines so re-reading was either done in the middle of the night or not done at all.
So if it's readable, enjoy.

Star Johnson, the singer, the actresses… the wild party animal…
…..the girl who can get anybody agreed to do a dating show? *disbelief*
But no matter how unbelievable I took a chance with my application and I’m surprised I’d been accepted.
I walked into my suite to find my roommate, Dani.
“What's up?” I said sitting my bags down.
“Aye, I’m Dani,” she smiled.
“Deacon.” I said giving her props.
Dani seemed cool but competition was competition. In my opinion she already had an edge. She was a female, she knew how they processed information. *laughs*
I had to get some air, being cooped up in the hotel room waiting for tonight. . . just rattled nerves.
I went outside to cool off, take a few deep breaths while being intoxicated by my 'sticks'.
As smokey as it was. . . . for some reason . . . . that seemed to be the only way I'd find some clarity.
I was having doubts about being here already. She's STAR JOHNSON, a famous movie star and talented singer. How could I possibly be the one she wanted to start a relationship with. . . . she was way outta my league.
“Do you have a light?” I voice asked. I was so deep in my own thoughts that I hadn't realized the foot steps that crept beside me.
I turned slightly to find a woman standing there.
“You know smoking’s bad for you right?” I teased as I handed her a light.
She smiled.
“I only smoke when I’m nervous… what’s your excuse,” she winked.
“That is my excuse,” I winked back.
We seemed to inhale in-sync and it was almost comforting to have someone with their own problems standing beside you.
I went to turn to ask her what he story was when I noticed something..... It was Star Johnson.
Heavily tinted sunglasses hid her eyes but her distinctive failed to conceal her identity.
“Your… Star Johnson?” I said, still unsure.
She was quiet. She took another puff of her cigarette and then turned to me playfully.
“…. You didn’t see me out here okay? I'm kinda.... on the down-low” she smiled.
I chucked my cigarette away and rose to my feet for a proper greeting.
“… I’m Deacon Smitten. I’m umm… ,”
“Deacon Smitten… Deacon Smitten. That name sounds familiar,” she said looking me up and down.
“ … I’m going to meet you later on this evening for .... … the show,” I said shyly.
This was not the way I wanted us to meet… it wasn’t romantic and we both stunk of cigarette smoke.
She glanced at me in disbelief.
“Serious?” she smiled.
“Yeah,” I smiled back.
“Wow. Sorry about this. It's a pleasure to meet you Deacon” she replied scratching her head.
“I don’t know if this is against the rules or what,” she added as she shook my hand.
“Rules? Psssh….” I smiled.
She ended up finishing her smoke and we talked a bit more. She didn't tell me too much but she did tell me she was really nervous about a lot of this.
~*~*~*~
Too soon someone came looking for her. I guess she wasn't very good at hide and seek.
“STAR are you out here?” a masculine voice yelled.
“Damn it… my body guard. He thinks I quit these things.
I gotta run, I’ll see you tonight Deacon,” she said as she squished a cigarette with her shoe.
“Alright Star, it was nice to meet you,” I smiled.
Just before scurrying off she turned back to me.
“Hey…. Thanks for the light,” she winked.
“No problem…” I smiled.
Maybe this wasn't going to be so hard. Despite what I thought, Star was human. She wasn't up tight and posh. She was just a regular girl.
And perhaps something between us, did seem plausible.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
That night we were to put on a run way show for Star, the catch was to wear a sexy costume.
I think I'm a pretty handsome guy but sexiness doesn't really come easy to me. You gotta have a certain type of swagger to pull that off and I'm working with 'boyish charm'.
Anyways, I decided to give it a go. I don't have a clue what I was trying to be . . . . a Tiki man? *laughs* But I figured it was all about performance so I strutted my stuff as best as I could.
Even if it didn't turn her on. . . . It made her laugh.
--- and I can live with that.
Round One
Me and Candace were awarded a two on one date with Star.
It wasn't as good as being alone with her, but lets be serious..... two girls.... one date.... this could get interesting. *wink*
When I saw her, I was ecstatic! She was a fun person to be around and I couldn't wait to get to know her more.
"I brought this for you," I smiled, passing a rose to Star.
"This is so sweet!" she smiled.
For the first hour or so we just hung out in the gardens.
It was a good time to just talk about ourselves, what we've been up to and what we're looking for in a relationship.
"Let me guess.... Your a DJ too," she smiled as she playfully pointed to me.
"Actuaaaally. . . I own a record store BUT I do DJ on the weekends," I smiled back.
You own your own record store? How cool," she smiled.
"My turn. . . . Your a DJ/Actress/Singer/Amazing Kisser," I teased, sliding one unnecessary talent in there.
She laughed.
"Three outta Four ain't bad. . . . I'm not into singing as much anymore," she winked.
After more walking and talking, we ended up stopping by this pretty cool pond.
I'm not really an animal guy but Star seem to really like them.
So much so that we started to feed them.
It was a pretty sweet moment for the both of us but Candace didn't seem too happy when I got a little close to Star.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Finally we made it inside and we were all looking forward to some good ol' massages.
After about 15 minutes into my massage, I figured the masseuse was getting more action that both me and Candace. Time to step up the game.
"Hey man... can I cut in?" I said approaching Stars masseuse. He shrugged his shoulders sure.
"Do you want me to teach you?" he added.
"Nah....." I smiled oiling my hands. "I got this."
I could tell Star was really enjoying my massage but since Candace was enjoying hers as well, I figure this was a great opportunity to steal Star away.
"Hey... you wanna get outta here for a bit?" I said leaning down to her ear
"MmmMmm what?" she whispered back.
"Can I steal you for two seconds?" I whispered again.
My hands slowly lifted from Star as she rose for the table.
I took her hand and lead her into the back area.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
"Was there something you wanted to talk to me about in private?" she asked with curious eyes.
No. no there wasn't but I hadn't to think of something fast. What was that line I used to use in College? Think Deacon. Think.
"You know. . . you have beautiful skin," I said brushing my fingers against her forearm.
"You have a beautiful smile. . . . and your eyes are phenomenal," I said as my fingers traced my her arm and fell on her cheek.
" I see. . . ." she flirted.
"That's what I had to tell you. It just seemed important," I smiled.
She smiled too and when she did her nose wrinkled.
"You are too much. . . you know that right," she giggled.
"What, it's true," I giggled back.
"Oooh it may be true but I think that may have been a scene out of one of my movies," she teased.
"Ouch! Rejected." I laughed. "I put a lot of heart into that girl. . . how yah gonna just dismiss my efforts like that,"
She bit her bottom lip.
"Effort is appreciated. . ." she said looking directly in my eyes. Her's darted a bit back in forth, almost if she was looking for something.
"I appreciate the effort Deacon. . . but just be you okay?" she smiled pointing on my chest.
Maybe that afternoon in the alley she saw a bit more of Deacon then I wanted her too.
I was harder to play some suave flawless guy when we both knew deep down this whole experience scared us to death. Maybe it wasn't finding love that made her nervous. . . or letting people go for that matter. Maybe it was eventually loving someone, only find they were playing a role. . . using you for what you have.
"Alright Star. I guess I can do that," I said gently kissing her hand.
We made our way back to the massage table and as we both resumed our positions....
I leaned in and whispered, "You do have beautiful eyes." I meant everything I said, maybe I should work on sounding more genuine.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I'm not really a facial guy *waits for the jokes*
...
.......
but we spent the rest of the afternoon getting facials, manicures and pedicures. . . and pretty much just hanging out.
Today was a really cool and relaxing day.
It was a non-formal setting when all our moods were on cloud nine, so I think this was the perfect first date.
Being the people we are. . . when left up to our own devices things are bound to happen. I don't know if Star suggested the *cough* Lap dance *cough* contest but it was a bunch of fun!
No one was seriously trying to seduce her with all that guck on their faces. . . but again I aim for the laughs.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
My favorite part of the night came last. . . . . the hot tub.
Usually when there is a beautiful woman around, half naked in a hot tub. . . . .things begin to happen. *grin*
But I guess it was different with Star.
As much as I did believe.... I realized she wasn't so easy.
Perhaps in a different setting things would have been a little steamer by now but I guess she was here for one reason. . . and because of how she's portrayed on TV I was surprised.
I didn't want to come on as strong as I did earlier but I still wanted her to know I was more than interested.
I was kind of feeling us out. Seeing where we were, carefully calculating my next move and the advantage it may give me.
We kind just chilled in the hot tub for a bit. Chucking back drinks and talking about all the funny things that happened during the day.
"Hey, where did you guys go during the massage?" Candace finally questioned.
Her tone was quite friendly but I knew deep down she was raging war against me while cussin' my name to pieces.
"Star tried to take advantage of me," I teased, playfully covering my exposed chest.
Her eyes widened while a grin formed on her face.
"You Fibber," she playfully splashed.
"We just went for a little walk.
Do you want to go some place to talk Candace?" she said turning to her.
I squinted my eyes in shock as they left the area.
Just before they were out of sight Star turned to me and playfully stuck out her tongue.
In return, I nodded my head to her as if to say . . . I see how it is
~*~*~*~*~*~
Star returned awhile later without Candace.
"She's in the bathroom, she'll be back in a few," she said hopping in. I simply nodded.
"Are you upset?" she said turning to me.
She looked genuinely concerned and she had no reason to be.
We were here for her. She could go off with who ever she wanted without feeling guilty about it.
"Is there a right answer to that question? I know how you women wired" I teased, thinking about whether answering that would be incriminating. I didn't want her to think I didn't care that she went off with someone else but I didn't want her to think I was some jealous freak either.
"How are we wired" she smiled placing her hands on my shoulder. Her eyes glistened. I told her they were beautiful. I wish she'd beleive me.
"If I say yes then that means I'm obsessive," I smiled. "and if I say no then I'm a jack ass. . . ."
She laughed.
"but if I just say nothing. . . then I think that's the right answer," I smiled.
"Nope, nothing just means your ignoring us! You have no clue how we're wired" she laughed.
"Yeah?" I said, beginning a tug of war debate.
"Yes!" she retaliated
"Nothing means I'm ignoring you?" I asked again
"Yes, nothing means your ignor----- - -- ----" she answered.
I swept her into an intense kiss.
Gently pulling away seconds later.
She tilted her head confused as I brushed a stray piece of hair from her face.
*Star sighs with a slight laugh*
". . . I think that's the right answer," she giggled.
ROUND TWO
Round Two
So I was invited to hang out Star, when she and some other celebrities threw together a Charity Concert.
I was pretty much stoked, not only because I was going to meet a ton of celebrities but because I'd have the chance to hang out with Star while she was in her element. . . .while she was a Star.
For the first hour or so we fooled around backstage. Meeting people like PINK, Kayne West and even Lady Gaga. They were all going to be performing on stage too.
Of course Star look extremely hot in her outfit.
"Does my hair look okay?" she fussed as she looked in the mirror.
"You and your hair look phenomenal," I smiled, peaking in back of her.
When it was time for star to get out there and do her thing, I sensed she was bit nervous.
I was about to head out there when Star spoke up.
"Deac, I haven't done this in awhile," she sighed.
Star had been focusing on her DJing, movies and TV appearances and put her singing career on hold. I could tell she needed a pep talk.
"Star, don't worry about it. You'll do amazing. Some people were born to do something special in this world, and I don't think it's an accident that your parents named you the way they did," I smiled. "Your a natural baby girl, just be yourself and they'll love you," I added, caressing her face.
"Thanks," she smiled, giving off a look of relief.
I knew she would blow the crowd away......
.....And I was right.
She blew us away.

~*.........*~
~*.........*~
Her performance with Lady Gaga and Amy Whinehouse set the house on fire.
She even pulled me on stage to show off my DJ skills. I was extremely nervous to perform in a crowd so big. . . but for some reason that didn't last too long.
Star made it all go away and we made wonderful music together.
Near the end of our 'set' the crowd started chanting " DJ STAR, DJ STAR, DJ STAR, DJ STAR"
Since I got swept up in all the hype ,I decided to sweep Star up with me.
We danced a bit on stage until I picked her up and spun her around.
For a minute, I could swear it was just me and her. . . and I could tell by her expression that she felt the same way.
Dang. . . Butterflies forming already?
Anyways, the night was amazing and it flew by. Before I knew it, Stars performance was over and Kayne West hit the stage. Of course there was this big after party afterwards so I was stoked to go to that as well.
“Safe to come in?” I asked, knocking with rhythm on her dressing room door.
“Yeah,” she whispered.
“You did amazing tonight Star,” I smiled. Everything that just happened seemed SO unreal. So much so that I barely noticed the fact that Star was in her underwear. Barely...
“Thanks,” she said softly.
“They absolutely loved you, the way you connected with the audience. . girl you got talent,” I smiled, beaming from head to toe.
“… Thanks DJ,” she again replied, this time softer then the times before.
Not only had I been so pumped that I hardly noticed what she was wearing, hardly noticed that she was upset. Really upset.
“Star are you okay?” I said a bit confused. We had a great show, why was she upset?
“… yeah I’m good,” she answered. She was crying, and averted eye contact so I wouldn't notice her tears.
“What's really up?” I asked again, this time less confused but a bit angry. Not anger at her, but angry at anyone who made her feel this way.
“I’m okay, you did awesome tonight by the way. I mean you got more skills then I thought,” she said trying to fake a smile and change the subject.
“. . . Star, come on. Tell me what’s up?” I asked again, this time holding her hand, trying to force some kind of connection.
“ it’s nothing. . . .” she sighed.
“ it has to be something if your crying,” I stated.
“Someone said some things about me in front of everyone and it just got to me,” she finally spilled. “. . . .I just don’t feel like being here right now,” she added. I could tell she was embarrassed that I had to see her like this. We were supposed to go to the after party, hang out with a bunch of the celebrities but I could tell Star didn’t want any part of it.
~*~*~*~*~
" Wanna go some place to talk? Away from all this?" I asked.
It was aloud atmosphere, and the concert was far from over. She only nodded.
Some how we ended up on the roof. The fresh air always did me good when I needed to get my head straight.
I held her for a few minutes until she decided to open up and tell me the whole story.
" Kayne said some sh** after my set. I know I should be used to all the crap they throw at me, and usually I am, but for some reason tonight it just got to me," she sighed, snuggling deeper into my arms.
"Kayne West is a jack a**. Does his opinion even matter anymore?"I said. I was pissed that Kayne said some rude things about Star and I would try to say anything to make her feel better.
"He's just jealous that you stole the show. People like that don't want good for anyone but themselves. Don't let his words get to you alright,"
“I know, your right......... but why do I have a feeling I’m going to be the target of every rap song now,” she said with a slight smiled.
"Star if they come at you, dish it right back. . . I'll get on track if you want me too," I smiled.
"Beef with Kayne West .. .. .. real smart," she laughed.
"Heck naw, if he starts Beef with Star Johnson then something's wrong with him," I laughed. "He don't know nothing bout this," I smiled breakin' into a free style.
"Kayne West, You aint the Best. . . Flunk'd every one of your Chemistry Tests.
Hatin' on Star, you won't go far.. .. Ask your daddy for an icecream bar," I rapped, with the sole purpose of making her smile.
"Wow. . . .that was. . . terrible," she teased.
"Yeaaaah I would pretty much get owned," I laughed.
Star laughed too.
"Thanks for. . . making me laugh DJ," she smiled.
"Hey, I don't reaaaaally feel up for the after party, you wanna chill somewhere else. . . just the two of us?" I asked, knowing full well she still wasn't up for the party scene. She nodded and smiled.

We ended up just hanging at the park. I know, it wasn't as glamorous as an After party with Justin Timberlake and Will Smith. . . . but when your fallin' for a girl like Star,
..... who needs fancy Hollywood parties?
Just chillin' is good enough.
ROUND THREE
“So… tell me about your family,” Star asked on our way to my sisters place.
“… I have two little sisters, Wilma and Leanna, and a little nephew named Raymond,” I replied.
“Okay…” Star winked, nudging for more information.
Talking about my family was rough.
I didn’t have it the easiest growing up and even though I love my parents more than anything, there’s still a bunch of stuff I’m dealing with.
“My mom and my dad aren’t together,” I spilled. “well… they never really were in the first place but you know how things happen. . .well I happened” I laughed.
“Yeah. . .” she laughed back.
“Anything else I should know before meeting them? A little back story would help,” she smiled.
. . . There wasn’t a little back story, there was a HUGE back story to my screwed up family.
If she was going to meet them, I knew I couldn’t keep it from her, so I figured now’s would be a good time to give her the details.
“Because, my dad was this big play boy, in the beginning it was just me and my moms. . . she wanted him in my life, they were supposed to get married but he ended up breaking it off when I was born,” I said.
“. . . Wow, Musta been tough?” Star sighed.
“For my mom yeah. . .we didn’t have much back then, but she did meet somebody. . . Mike,” I smiled.
“Was he a nice guy?” she smiled.
“Yeah, real nice. Like a dad to me. Mom and him got married, they had two kids together. . . but things weren’t going too good between them. Mom messed around with my real dad behind his back and that stirred the pot a bit,” I started. “The only good that came out of them kickin’ it was the fact me and my dad got pretty close when I was a little older, he wasn’t completely off the map. But on the other hand. . .I felt bad for Mike.... and I just had to be the one who caught them together,”
“Oh my gosh! That must have screwed with your head a bit!”
“Yeah, a lot! I got really pissed and because they screwed around and my mom was unsure whose Wilma’s dad really was. . . well until she started lookin’ like Mike,” I explained
“What about Leanna?” she asked.
“Mom and Mike, planned her and she claims to have stopped screwing around with my dad...... but during the pregnancy Mike decided to screw around too. . . with a guy from work,”
“A guy from work?”
“Yeah. . . after that happened things just fell apart for me. I decided to move in with my dad, too much drama for one kid to handle,” I sighed. “I still feel bad leaving Wilma in a house like that and Leanna too, maybe if I woulda stayed things would have turned out differently with them,”
“What do you mean?”
“. . .after that stuff with Mike, things fell apart for everyone. My mom “tried” to work through it, for the girls but by the time I hit college. . . she ended up shackin’ up with the Exterminator for revenge. . .they only kissed or whatever at first but Mike caught them. That’s when they got into it for the last time and she told him to split. Wilma took it the hardest, she blamed my mom for everything,”
“Shortly after they split, my mom proposed and moved in Robi, the exterminator guy and when that happened Wilma, moved. She was only 16 at the time and even though I checked up on her a lot I worried about her,”
“Well that’s what big brothers do, did she get back on her feet like you did?”
“well. . . things were going alright for her up until she hooked up with Moms fiancé. She didn’t even have feelings for him, I guess she just wanted to get back at mom. Because they fooled around, she ended up getting pregnant and now has a son, my little nephew.
Wilma having Robi’s kid was a BIG wake up call to my mom. She kicked him to the curb, straightened out and is now actually putting her kids first.
Leanna, my youngest sister, handled things a lot better then most of us. She gets all the good grades, sees Mike and her future seems a heck of a lot brighter than anyone else in this family. Wilma’s still finding her way. I help her best I can, and since Robi will never see Raymond I’m like his dad.”
By the end I could tell Star was speechless. Our family was made up of Jerry Springer type stuff and there was no changing that.
“So that’s pretty much all there is. You’ll be meeting everyone, so just a little back story,” I smiled.
“…. Sorry you went through all that Deac,”
“Yeah me too,”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Wilma's Place
Since being on Shot at love I've been away from my family. I guess I'm a cross between a family man and a party animal. . . .which works out for the most party.
Anyways, I've been dying to seen my little nephew Raymond and my little sis Wilma since my plane touched down.
Ever since that stuff with Robi, I've been trying to help out best I can. . . acting more like a dad to little Raymond than an uncle.
So when I saw him, I was super excited.
“Star this is Raye, my little man,” I smiled sweeping him up in my arms.
“Hey Ray,” Star smiled.
“Hey!” he smiled, holding out his little hand for a greeting.
“And this is my sister Wilma,” I said turning my direction to my sister.
“Hey Star. . . Really sorry bout the mess guys, they got me workin’ double shifts,” she smiled shaking Stars hand too.
“Ray, did you know Star LOVES firetrucks? Why don’t you show her some of the ones I bought you for your birthday?” I laughed, finally setting him down.
Star caught on that I needed to be alone with my sister for the moment.
“Yeah fire trucks! I have a sweet spot for those, I'd love to see” Star exclaimed.
“Come Star! I show you” Ray stated, tugging on Stars pant leg.
It was obvious they would be instant friends!
~*~*~*~*~*~
When Star and Ray were playing in the other room, my sister knew exactly what was coming. She looked tired, defeated and overworked. . . naturally I was worried sick.
“She seems nice,” Wilma smiled, trying to avoid the subject.
“Yeah she’s great. . . . . . Whose been watching Ray?” I said bluntly.
“Mom in the morning and Anna after school,” she sighed.
“What happened to that money I gave you so you could get someone while I’m gone?” I stated. I didn't want the pressure of raising a kid to be on Leanna. . . she wasn't responsible for Ray when she was just a kid herself.
“. . .that didn’t work out Dee,” she said rolling her eyes. I didn't know where the money went. . .but I had my ideas. Robi had been poking around before I left, and I swear that if he's responsible I'd kill him.
“You want me to call the Joint? I can get them to reduce the hours,” I sighed.
“. . . Deac, we need the money,” she sighed back.
“. . .nah, Raye needs his mom,” I snapped.
“Can we not get into this right now, I’m supposed to be meeting your girlfriend. . .and then I have to head to work”
". . .so it's like that. Your not even going to be around tonight are you?"
"Deac, I gotta work,"
We all made plans to hang out tonight but I knew Wilma wouldn't be able to make it. That kinda upset me.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
After spending a bit of time with my sister, we decided to take Raymond out to the park before heading to moms place.
We had a ton of fun, just the three of us!!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
At moms, Star got to meet my little sister. . . and of course Sandi, my mother too.
Leanna and Star hit it off pretty good. They both were into the same type of music and Star promised to get her tickets to the next show she DJ'd.
"No sister of mine will be hanging out in some club," I teased.
"She'll be with me. . . what could go wrong," Star winked.
We spent the afternoon just hanging out, playing board games and watching movies.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
After spending time with my Mom, sisters and Nephew we headed to check in on my dad.
Star knew that my dad owned a ton of businesses and real estate, but I don't think she had any idea how wealthy he was.
One afternoon, we were whisked away to his private beach home.
On the first night we spent the night alone, just the two of us. . . well his butlers and hired entertainment kept us company.
Dear old Dad was off doing business
It was nice to be in a big empty house with someone though, usually I would be cooped out there by myself when dad went away.
The next day we met him for Brunch. He has this thing about being well dressed so me and Star put on our best for the meal. He invited one of his lady friends over to spend it with us. . . I knew that as soon as Star saw him she was shocked we weren't brothers.
Botox can do that to a person.
Despite his downfall, overall my dads a good guy.
He might not be the typically dad most people are used to, but he's the only dad I got.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
"Star you look magnificent in that dress. . . really sets off your eyes," he smiled, winking at Star.
And here we go, I thought. Dad ALWAYS flirted with the girls I dated. I figured he always thought we were in competition to see who gets the best catch. . . some people never grow up I guess. *laughs*
"Dad. . . .she's taken. . . by three guys, me included," I teased gently grabbing onto Stars hand.
I looked over at his Lady friend and I could tell she could care less. . . she surely wasn't the jealous type. How could you be when Dad spoils you with jewelry and such.
After spending most of the day with my dad we both went our separate ways. Dad went to another one of his properties while we just hung out at the house.
We walked along the beach front, just talking about everything that happened during her visit.
It was pretty. . . . . romantic if I do say so myself.
For most of he visit we've both been on our best behavior. We barely did anything crazy, spontaneous or adventurous. . . but we were both up to a little spunk that last night.
So we both stripped down to our underwear and hopped in the ocean. . .
. . . . once we got in we under estimated how cold the water actually was.
"Why'd you talk me into this! We're going to die of hypothermia!" Star laughed, shivering the words.
"It was your bright idea! Don't blame your bad decision on me," I shivered playfully back.
"Dweeb," she said playfully splashing.
She swam quickly away, knowing for sure it was pay back time. I swam after her. . . .
"Thhhhrrrrruce," she shivered, admitting defeat. "I'm sorry." she giggled.
I squinted my eyes.
"How do I know your not going to splash me again,"
"Because. . . .you just know," she laughed.
"I think I need more convincing," I smiled raising my eyebrows.
She swam up to me. . . . and kissed me.
The ocean suddenly got a lot warmer.
........
"Believe me now?" she smiled biting her bottom lip.
"Yeah. . . I believe you," I smiled back.
"GOOD!" she said playful as she splashed me once more. . . .
"Ohh your gonna get it this time," I laughed swimming after her.
ROUND 4
Deacon Smitten Final Round
Paris could possibly be the last time I'd be together with Star,
so as soon as she met me for our final date,
I embraced her in a passionate kiss.
Right off the bat I needed her to know how much I cared about her. . .
I needed her to feel the connection between us two.
When we released I noticed a confused look on her face. Studying my expression, Star soon realized my last stitch effort to convey my true feelings.
Naturally, torn between three guys, Star swayed the conversation elsewhere.
"You look very Paris like," she smiled, straightening my collar.
"and you look incredible as always," I smiled back.
"I love this hat!" she smiled, playfully tapping it with her hand.
My eyes darted shyly at my feet.
Instinctively, right there and then, I wanted to tell her I was falling in love with her. . . . but I just couldn't.
I didn't have the courage to tell her how I was feeling. It shared me that I copped feelings so fast; nevertheless felt them in the first place.
"Ready to explore?" I said, gaining the courage to at least pretend everything was normal.
Star followed suit, pretending as if she couldn't tell that something was up with me.
Clutching my hand, she nodded as we began our date.

Villefranche sur Mer, was a beautiful place. Quiet, cosy and elegant.
We examined the town like art, marveling at it's dated history and qualities of the people in it.
After most of the exploring we rested at a quiet spot for lunch.
"So how many times have you been too Paris?"
"Many, many times and you?" Star playfully sighed.
"Just a couple with my dad. You modeled in Paris right?" I asked.
"Yeah, for about 5 months. It was an interesting experience," she smiled.
". . . .interesting like?"
"interesting.
Lets just leave it at that," she smiled playfully.
"So it's like that huh?
Your keeping secrets now? After all we've been through your just gonna shut me out?" I teased.
". . . .would you like a tissue?" she playfully replied.
"Find your cut off too. . . you get no more of this" I teased, playfully avoiding eye contact.
After about a minute of the silent treatment, Star hopped on top of me. . . forcing me to pay attention.
Fulfilling her request, I smiled up at her. Oh how hard it was to ignore someone so amazing.
Starring at each other, Star finally spoke.
"You know. . . your weak right?" teasing me, over how quickly I surrendered my attention.
". . . you make weak," I smiled.

After lunch we hit up the local market.
I was almost positive that Star never saw a second hand store, let along shop for second hand items . . . .
so this would be pretty cool for her.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Ever since the first time I met Star, I knew she was nothing like Hollywood. She was a real, down to earth playful person who just happened to get paid for acting, singing and modeling.
I considered myself extremely lucky to have gotten to know someone like her.
My stereotypical image will never be the same.
We looked around at a bunch of things for sale. Some were extremely bizarre while other vendors sold fresh fruit.
Trying on a few cool items, we decided to make our own challenge out of it.
The challenge, we would split up for 30 minutes. . . collecting items for the perfect costume.
The catch, we would be picking out items for the other person to wear.
. . . . . and since finding designer clothing was pretty impossible in this market, our outfits were predicted to be a little . . . unique.
Meeting up at the end of the thirty minutes, Star had a very cocky look on her face.
"You look guilty. What do you have me wearing young lady?" I smiled, embracing her into a cozy hug.
"I'm not guilty. . . I'm just imagining my future victory," she teased. "You know I can make anything look good right, bring it on."

Down at the beach we changed into our outfits, I underestimated Star. . . I felt really self conscious in the outfit she picked out for me. . . . . . . .
but as soon as I saw her in the little green ensemble I felt so much better.
We both cracked up at the sight of each other. . . I swear, laughing uncontrollably for a least 5 minutes.
"Why is it that you always talk me into doing these things," I sighed playfully looking at the . . . belly top vest I was wearing.
"I can't wait to see pictures of this in the tabloids. I can only imagine the captions she smiled.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
We hung out at the beach for the remainder of the date.
Sure we got awkward looks for other people. . . but we were okay with that.
....
Nearing the end of the day, I could really feel everything slipping away.
Sitting in silence, by the beach. . . just thinking about how fast this all has happened, how much I cared about her, and the big possibility I'd never get to hold her again. . . emotions were running high.
As much as I wanted to plead my case, I couldn't find words to justify the feelings I felt and it sucked. . . because I knew she was wanting something more from me.
What girl doesn't want someone to fight for them.
In the very last moments of the date, we when we getting ready to head our seperate ways. . . . I decide to make one last effort to tell her how I felt.
"I'm really glad I met you Star. . . and I consider you a really great person and a really great friend," I stated.
"Frien--" Star started. . . .
"But. . . I care about you in ways I've never cared about any friends before- - - and I guess at the end of the day, your everything I've been looking for. Now that I've meant you, I wouldn't want to think about my life without you. . . with anyone else. But I know this is going to be a hard decision to make, and as your friend. . . I want you to be happy,"
"Thanks Deac," she said, tears swelling in her eyes.
Shortly after I kissed Star. . . .
. . . . and that could have very well been the last time.
