I ♥ this fic!

So, I actually find the entire premise of Dollhouse incredibly squicky, so I really appreciated that you didn't shy away from the wrongness of it, from the spine-chilling way you wrote Dean's first wipe to the heart breaking interactions of Echo, Romeo, Sierra and Victor as dolls to Sam's reaction to seeing Dean-as-a-doll. I also like that you went some way towards redeeming Topher by the way he tries to keep Dean safe and second guesses himself but still kept him flawed (he doesn't speak up when he gets sent another mental patient who can't consent even though it rubs him the wrong way).

Your Topher voice is general was utterly spot on, and I loved your Ivy and Adelle as well. (The Romeo w/Juliet for a handler was totally cute and something I could see happening in canon. XD) I've never seen Supernatural but I know vaguely who the boys and Castiel are; I loved Castiel's weirdness. The contrast between doll-Dean and then Dean when he's back to normal was awesome. I was giggling at Dean's reaction to all the different ( ... )

If you think about it, the whole concept of the Dollhouse is the squickiest squick that ever squicked. And I really wanted to show how very oh-so-wrong this is.

Hee, I love Romeo and Juliet too! Those handlers have to have a lot of in-jokes just so they don't think too hard about what they're doing.

Castiel awkwardness around humans is what makes him so damn endearing! *Pets Castiel*

I like to ship Sam/Dean, but I like to consider the practicalities (I mean, other than the obvious ones...). Like, if you have an angel following you around, or even if you're just at a motel with thin walls, you better not be going at it like bunnies every opportunity you get, or things are going to get really damn awkward very fast.

So glad you liked it Perdi!

I don't watch Dollhouse, so I have no idea who any of those characters are. But you still got me hooked from start to finish.

This was excellent! The plot *and* the characterizations were all really well done -- lots there to sink my teeth into! -- and I enjoyed it a lot.

This is really, really great! You somehow managed to capture the tone of BOTH shows really well - all the Dollhouse bits fitted into that show, and all the ghost hunt bits really felt like Supernatural. I especially loved your characterization of Topher, I find him hard to like at the best of times but really liked what you did with him here. Castiel's description of it as 'soul-stealing' and Topher's reaction to that was fantastic.

Top notch! Great job! :D

I'm so very pleased that you liked it! How Dollhouse developed Topher in "Belonging" was something I really, really appreciated, and wanted to explore some more. I wasn't even intending to have Topher be that prominent originally, but as I wrote, he just pushed himself up front and center.
