Is it bad that I'd really want to see this Loki run into Cas, and having Cas put him in his place, making him realize he's not as mighty as he thinks he is?

Considering all the other dicks the Winchesters deal with (not to mention they aren't lacking in that quality themselves), I doubt Cas would actually do anything to someone professing to be an ally.
But feel free to imagine it if it makes you happy :) And it doesn't mean Cas wouldn't *want* to.

Thanks! I have to say, I hadn't meant for it to be read that Loki was controlled the way Selvig and Barton were. I was aiming more for 'the Chitauri are monitoring his every action through a mind link'. Much as stories were Loki is controlled are interesting, I think I would be disappointed if that turned out to be canon.

Oh, that's rather horrible of Thor. Why wouldn't Loki have friends? Or rather, why would he ask that? Though I imagine Loki would be the first one to state they're *allies*, not friends, thankyouverymuch and get your own mortals, Thor!

might be in part because that's the view I carry as personal canon, and it seemed to mesh with your story {read: nothing contradicted the personal canon}

Ramble...on one hand, nobody under the influence of the Cube was acting OOC - just focused (Selvig, science; Hawkeye, snipering; Loki, controlled chaos)...on hte other hand, after being curbstomped by the Hulk, Loki had hte same look of disorientation that Clint did when he was finally free of the Cube's power. .../ramble.

My Thor-muse doesn't think Loki would survive the sort of morality-related character arc he (Thor) went through in Thor.

...though its not so much that Thor would ask that to be mean...more completely startled, taking Thor by surprise.
