I like this very much. Sherlock would make an excellent Companion, only o.O for the poor souls who taught him.

I think Sherlock would be very much in demand, despite his... uh... unorthodox methods. But yes, I bet his instructors despaired, and only the Mycroftian eyebrow of vague threat stayed their hand. Glad you enjoyed!

Oh, this is excellent. You nailed the characterizations, and I can't believe how smoothly you slipped Sherlock and John into Firefly's 'verse! The only possible flaw with this fic is that there isn't about 25k more words of it.

Thanks so much! I am convinced that Firefly crosses over well with anything. It's the little black dress of fandoms. I had to limit myself so as not to create a 25k fic! Not enough hours in the day! There used to be a whole subplot where John and Mal bonded over the pitfalls of being in love with a Companion. I might post some of those deleted scenes at some point...

Oh my goodness, if you do post the cut scenes will you please link them back here? I'd really hate to miss them by mistake!

Fascinating lines: “By logic, not by listening. Useful, as far as it goes, but I thought I could teach him something new. I haven’t taught anyone anything hardly, since I got out.”

Really cool.

Oh, River. She's got a lot going on in her head. Thanks for reading!

Ooh, I liked this! River and Sherlock make a very interesting pair. I can just imagine the conversations they would have--between River knowing what Sherlock's thinking, to Sherlock making logical leaps ahead, it would make sense to nobody but them. And I liked Zoe and John having had a quasi-relattionship during the war. It makes a weird kind of sense. =)

River and Sherlock were very fun to write together. Both of their brains are so busy! The idea of Zoe and John kind of came out of the blue, but they're both soldiers, and I could see them having a casual thing. Plus, maybe Zoe has a type, y'know? John and Wash do not look dissimilar... Anyway, thanks for letting me hear your thoughts!
