I never really watched Stargate (any version) but this was awfully good. And amusing. And of course they stole it anyway. :)

My fantastic beta reader wasn't a Stargate person either. I wrote up a "what you need to know" primer for her that I should post in my own LJ, 'cause it's demented. But more importantly I'm glad that it worked for someone who doesn't speak Stargate. :)

Well, I speak Stargate the Movie, and I lived with someone who was a fan for about half a year, so I'm not completely unfamiliar with the language, but. Yes, it definitely worked. :)

Where to begin, where to begin...

The first line alone - These two are just too pretty - was enough to make me grin, both on the first time I read it and now. Of course it's Hardison who notices that, and of course he has to find out more about these people as soon as he can. It rings very true to his character, this small knot of suspicion in him.

Murray - I really love that alias. It made me laugh, also, Parker being twitchy. Of course she is. :D

I can really see Nate during this conversation, fidgeting with his glass, telling them to look in a library or the internet, looking slightly wrecked and probably talking a tiny little bit too loud :)

I really enjoyed Sheppard's part in the discussion too. Whole w-, uh, tribes are oppressed under these people. - that made me think the others aren't so happy about his little almost slip-up there. :) It made me grin.

"We can handle it," Nate pointed out. Oh, Nate. Of course you can handle it. All the ruffled feathers in this simple sentence, I can really see it ( ... )

Woops, I forgot to say you're welcome again :-).

The whole "Can you make one?" "Do I look like MacGyver?" thing is kinda where the whole thing started. Once I fell out of hiveship into Ori and realized that only Sam could say that line, I was sunk.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much.
