This was fun! Despite the bittersweet ending, there were a lot of laugh out loud lines here. I loved Alexis warning Castle about black widows and this line had me giggling: “’Put this perp away’? That’s one of the oldest cliché’s in the book.” Castle began, but when Beckett shot him a look he quickly backtracked, “But you make it new again.

This was fantastic. Castle would easily fall for H.G. and all her charms. I love that you included a couple of scenes of the Castle family together and their banter; they're one of my favorite families on television (as well as the Warehouse family).

Excellent characterizations all around. I love that HG Wells was a suspect and humors Castle by going to dinner. The missed opportunity to pick her brain is sad but it was sweet she gave him the ring. I love the familiar banter between Martha, Alexis and Castle - definitely one of my favorite parts of the show. Fantastic piece!
