♥ Miles ♥! How is it possible for me to love a character so much when I haven't even watched the show? I really enjoyed everything about this (the way you write Arlene in particular owns my heart, omg) but what I loved most was the friendship between Miles, Jim and Richard. There's nothing more fun than reading about friends who enjoy each other's company.
Also great: Miles' bewilderment at everything Sam; everything about Jessica and Hoyt (and Miles thinking he's going crazy); SHERIFF DEARBORN turning the screws on "Dimples". XD

It was fun to write someone totally offensive. I think I had too much fun with that; I mean obviously, I think Miles and Sayid are the bees knees, but I can imagine how a bigot like her might react differently. And I heart Sheriff Dearborn. I was sad when he retired.
Thanks so much, sweetie! ♥

Lafayette just gets more and more amazing as the show goes on. (For examples...) And since about the fifth episode of True Blood I watched, I've been obsessively and irrationally shipping Sawyer/Tara like you have no idea. It's a little too soon for him to actually move on from Juliet, but still. I couldn't resist. :)
Thank you so much! This comment has totally made my day! ♥

Must admit I'm surprised you didn't make any comment about anything between Ben and Arlene, I mean a mother joke or wife joke would have been hilarious!
But the idea of Miles being able to read the minds of vampires, the same way Sookie is able to read the minds of the living, it is just a brilliant amazing way to combine Lost and True Blood yet alone other Vampire shows. Too brilliant for just one short fic. I know you ended the fic where you did but I beg, one more scene, Sookie meets Miles, doesn't have to be anything happening between them, but if Miles is going to now be a mind reader. Also wonder how he would do in other Vampire verses, such as the Buffy'verse ( ... )

Miles totally has so much potential for all vampire fandoms, right? One of the prompts I almost assigned myself to was Lost/True Blood, and it would have been kind of the same thing with Miles's telepathy. It would have been cool to have Miles and Sookie teaming up, but my recipient requested her to not be a focus of the fic. Perhaps I'll write a sequel one day. :)
I'm completely obsessed with The Lie of the Oceanic Six, so I'm glad you enjoyed that part! I also love speculating about the Lie the Ajira Six will tell (though I think it'll be like this where they just sort of disappear and there's no media).
I really did think I could make a meta joke about Emerson, but honestly, Arlene and Ben are such incompatible characters that I couldn't think of how to do it without being forced.
Thanks again! This really made my day!

A sequel to this where Miles and Sookie do team up would be excellent.
Speculating about the Ajira 6, now that one will be interesting, because characters like Sawyer will have come back, along with Richard Alpert who wasn't on the plane and has a rather dubious history. Interesting to wonder how many people might recognize him from what he has done over the years.
Arlene and Ben are incompatible I agree, and coming up with meta joke about them would be difficult come to think about it.
You are welcome, and thanks for responding! Honestly I'm hoping for a sequel to this :-D

It's just wonderful!
The whole 'is he naked again' bit had me dying, and Richard/Lafayette thing? Awesome. I love Miles being able to hear the vampires thoughts and the way you blended the shows together worked so well.
thank you so much :D

I got the feeling from your sign-up that you liked Richard/Jacob, so I tried to stick a shout-out to that ship in there. The Lafayette/Richard thing kind of grew out of that mention.
Glad you enjoyed it!
