lol no worries. my credit isn't perfect but it's not terrible. i have a bankruptcy that was discharged in 2002 that will remain on my record until 2012 that hurts my credit score. add 10 open credit accounts and zero income except unemployment and that's a recipe for disaster.
my score right now is 672. my unemployment nets me 2000 a month. my parents gave me 1500 to put down, and the car was 5500. the banks usually won't finance anything under 5000 though so i only put down 1000. add tax, title, license, registration, etc and the car came out to about 6700 total. so basically the bank financed 5700. the payments came out to about 120/mo for 36mo.
once i get myself a commuting-distance jobbyjob, i'll be able to pay it off really fast, and i like that fact. OH and also i can drive to SF right now by myself if i wanted.
they'll finance anyone if your money to debt ratio is alright enough. and you HAVE to put something down...it's kind of like a good faith thing that the banks see.
