The Catcher in the Rye was absolutely terrible. I didn't even finish it. I read half of it, and I was too bored to finish. However, I did read "Autobiography of a Face" which is an excellent, hauntingly beautiful memoir of woman's battle with cancer, tracking her life from a young girlhood to adulthood. Actually, the book didn't have all that much

If people weren't so complex, then life would just be boring and repetitive. Predictable people get on my nerves. True, you and I will never know eachothers' motives, or janes motives, or Congress' motives, but who would really want all that info anyway? What good would it do? The way I see it, figuring people out will only do you some good when you want to manipulate them. :/ I must be looking at it from a different angle from you though. Ironically, my reasoning behind this is complex.
