How is it that you're salaried (i.e., "exempt from overtime pay"), but get paid overtime and have to clock hours?

Welcome to the oddness that is defense contracting. my understanding is that everyone in the industry has their own labyrinthine rules for getting OT pay, but that everyone has a way to get it, except at the executive level, of course. They just get massive bonuses, like any other industry.
