I took a look at QC's recs--I made a couple of very conservative bids. If I win, Iknow I can cough up the dough. If I don't, nothing lost. As for the refurbs that GR pointed out...I'll be looking at those when I get a little more financial breathing room in my account

Hey, I once got an entire formal outfit for a wedding -- a new dress and new shoes -- for only $25 off eBay. (The foofy accessories like jewelry and a shawl were things I already had.) I have actually had great success on eBay doing exactly what you've just done.
