▌summary: There is an ancient story, passed down through generation to generation. It is a story of good and evil. They say five beings will appear and save the world. They must band together to defend their home, but obstacles will stand in their way. Powers will try to convince them to stray from the rightful pather. To pit them against each other. Five others tried and failed, now it is their turn. If they stray, they will fail and the would will cease to exist.

Jinho surveyed the man who walked into the room, “You were at my grandfather’s funeral.”
Jungmin nodded his head, “That was me. It is nice to see you again, Jinho. It is nice to see you all. It has been awhile.”
Kibum tilted his head, “We’ve met before?”
“In a past life, many years ago. You all were different and went by different names with different personalities,” Jungmin replied with a soft smile, “Please sit. I have a lot to tell you.”
Everyone, including Jinho took a seat and waited for Jungmin to speak up. He sat there for a minute before he reached over and pulled a giant book out of his bad. He sat it on the table with a thud and dust came off into their faces. It smelled of rotten wood and looked ancient.
Jinho’s eyes widened, “My grandfather has this.”
“Exactly. This was written years ago when your past lives were the original five beings. They were just like you, close friends,” The five looked down at the table. They couldn’t even look at each other, “Jinho’s family is known as ‘The Guardians’. Throughout the years, they waited for the next beings to be born. It was his destiny to meet you.”
Jonghyun patted Jinho back, startling the younger male, “Cool.”
Jinho smiled awkwardly at Jonghyun. “Each of you have your own name, or calling. Jonghyun, you are the one with Integrity. Like you past life, Yunho, you have a moral standing. You’re honest, even if it means hurting others.
“Sounds like me,” Jonghyun grinned as he leaned back.
Jungmin looked over at Kibum, “Kibum, you are the one with Benevolence. You are caring to others and you are the first to help other. You’re caring and always offer to listen. Just like JaeJoong.”
Kibum rolled his eyes at Jungmin. He smiled before looking at Minho , “The one with Valor. You are bold and determined to win and get what you want. You’re past life, Yoochun, was the same way. He would always protect Junsu, Taemin’s past life.”
Taemin and Minho shared a look before looking away, shyly, “Junsu was the one with Perception. He kept the group together. He would do anything to help. He had his own point of view and was able to get along with everyone he met.”
“And lastly, Jinki,” Jinki sat up in his seat, “You do well in school, I’m guessing.”
“He’s number two in the school,” Taemin said with a smile.
Jinki shrugged, “I study.”
Jungmin nodded his head, “As did Changmin. He was the one who knew exactly what to do and if he didn’t, he would go searching for the answer.
“Wait, I have a question about Jino,” Jinki said, raising his hand.
Taemin and Jonghyun started laughing. Jinki rolled his eyes at the two before asking his question, “You said Jino is one of the guardians. What does that mean?”
Jungmin nodded his head and looked at Jinho, “Jinho is a guardian meaning when he is around, you are more powerful. Jinho gives off this energy that gives you all more power.”
“Power as in?” Jonghyun questioned.
“It is similar to what you see in movies to be honest. You are strong and have certain abilities. Jonghyun can use fire, while Minho uses ice. Taemin is able to talk to animals and Jinki can control minds or even read minds. Kibum has the ability to disappear or hide in mirrors,” Jungmin explained.
Jinho leaned back in his chair and pouted, “And I just have to stand there.”
Jinki leaned back and patted Key’s shoulder, “You’re our own personal charger.”
Kibum pulled out his compact mirror and looked at his reflection, “I haven’t ever actually gone inside of a mirror.”
“It’ll take some time. We have to start training as soon as possible,” Jungmin said, putting the book back into his knapsack.
“Woah, woah, training? Hold up. I do not train,” Kibum said, holding his finger up, “You must be joking.”
Minho shook his head as well, “I have soccer conditioning. I can’t do that.”
“I have SCA. I’m busy all the time, not to mention college,” Jinki replied.
The others began sprouting out a whole bunch of excuses; eventually Jinho spoke out, “Enough! Stop thinking of yourselves and think about the hundreds of thousands of people who will die if you don’t just get over yourselves and work together! This ends now!”
The five, including Jungmin stared at Jinho and he slowly sunk into his chair, “Just saying.”
Jonghyun sighed and stood up,” I’m in. I really don’t have anything better to do.”
Taemin stood up as well, “I’m of course in!”
Minho slowly stood up and nodded his head, “I’m in.”
“I guess I am in,” Jinki replied, standing up as well.
All eyes turned to Kibum and waited. The diva sighed before standing up, crossing his arms, “Looks like I have no choice.”
Jungmin stood up and so did Jinho, both smiling, “Training starts tomorrow.”
