can people change? or is it once a douche bag, always a douche bag?

i like to hope for the best and believe that people can change....but what does everyone else think?

I think that people can change, but it just depends on the person, if they have tried to make a change or gone through anything that would make them change.

I'm opting for the "people can change" option.
Partly because I'm feeling optimistic, but mostly because I really want it to be true.
