how long can I keep it up?

I'd say yesterday was a success. Go me!

About the only bad thing about yesterday was that I left the house late and had to run for the bus. Unlike when I was on the thyroid meds, running was NOT easy. It was barely a block, and I felt completely winded and gasping for breath, like I just could NOT breath. It took me a while to calm down and ( Read more... )

I beat Kripke's Naming & Necessity.

I see what you mean about books, though seriously, I do belive I have encountered it said or thought it about books I've read in college.

Do you think it has to do with the ancestry of how the game is approached? That is, did you not tend to play games like Sonic before playing RPGs? Because that seems like a reasonable cause of a different approach, even if the RPG is actually treated the same way, if it is connected, historically to other games that one "beats" as opposed to other things one "finishes", that could account for the language difference.

THEY'RE COMING AFTER YA!" (a Goonies quote) during the part when Sonic is running from the lava. And we called the shields "wongs" because that's the sound it made when you activated one ( ... )

You mean Meteor? Usually I'm so busy watching my stats that I don't get a good look at the animation. Meteor can be nasty.
