[Rogue's wandering into the kitchen, very focused on making herself a cup of tea. She's still trying to fight her way through her reading and quite frankly, she'd rather run a Danger Room simulation with five Sentinels then get

[Even a distraction in the shape of John Allerdyce? Because most people wouldn't be thanking their lucky stars for his ever-cheerful company. John's sitting on one of the stools at the kitchen island, facing the sink. He's basically just popping Chex Mix in his mouth and passing the time.

He turns his head ever so much as Rogue walks in, his steady, unreadable gaze filling with just a flash of mirth. Oh, because who else does he like to torment more? John says nothing, merely throws a pretzel into his mouth and raises an eyebrow in her direction.]

[Oh John Allerdyce. Not exactly the sort of distraction she was looking for. She does her best to ignore him because, well, it's better to at least try and avoid the snark by pretending he's not there. Apparently making a cup of tea requires a person's full attention now.]

[And apparently staring isn't rude anymore, because that's just what John does. Stare. Unwaveringly, with that smart-ass, amused look on his face. The only sounds that fill the otherwise quiet kitchen is the rustle of the snack food bag, John's chomping and chewing, and Rogue going about her business.]

[Rogue's not going to be the one to break first this time. She can totally ignore him for the five or so minutes it takes to brew a cup of tea. The water's in a kettle on a stove and now she's got nothing to do but lean against the counter and wait for it, absently fiddling with a tea bag.]

[Forge comes in to find Rogue taking her time with that tea. He looks in the fridge for a beer, but finds all of it gone. He frowns, he swore there had been some yesterday, even if it was Logan's, he always makes sure to replace anything he takes. He closes the fridge and leans against it, thinking of what else he might want.]

No beer! What're you having?

[Everyone's always looking for beer lately. Rogue can't help but grin a little as she hold up the tea bag so he can see.] Nothin' nearly that strong. Just a cup of tea.

[He shrugs, going to grab a mug.] You got any to share?

[She nods.] Sure thing. [She puts a bit more water in the kettle and slides another teabag towards him.] So how's the lab reconstruction been going?
