Translation: Popolo 03/2010 - Arashi's Tokyo Dome report, part 1 & 3
The 1st and 3rd part of Arashi's Tokyo Dome stage report in Popolo issue March 2010. Don't ask me why the heck it was that I did part 1 and part 3 first and skipped part 2. The reason is obvious: these 2 parts are much shorter, fufufufufu.
The 1st part is a fashion report :D (I loved all the outfits they wore for this tour BTW), the 3rd are individual interviews, or rather, their opinions (because they're too short to be called interviews IMO). Short as they are, the guys' little speeches are all overflowing with love, some parts so honey sweet they could very well give you a toothache, highly recommended XD XD XD

And don't worry, I fully intend to translate all. Part 2 will be up in a few days.
On a side note, I dearly suggest that you download the scans of this issue here @ pornvilai's LJ at look at them while reading or you'll be totally confused with all the fashion description. I'm sorry for being too lazy to cut out the magazines to illustrate as I usually do :"], there are just too many images so.... Ahahahaha, or maybe you can try convincing eve_aida to scanlate this issue. Going crazy with the final day at Tokyo Dome! The magnificent outfits & the MC full of laughter & the exclusive interviews!
「Because the 5 of us do this to make 55000 people happy!」
The anniversary tour to celebrate Arashi’s 10 years. The tour that lasted for 3 month finally came to an end the other day. We were able to be present at that last Tokyo Dome performance ♪ Because it was for the 10th anniversary, there were a lot of things that make people excited! We also ended up getting absorbed into the celebratory mood ♪

This was the gorgeous, 10th-anniversary-tour-version fashion sported by the 5 members! It’s a display of sparkling & magnificent outfits which can only be seen at their concerts!!
Aiba Masaki
Matching with refreshing green!
The suits of 5 pastel colors
Before getting excited with the second half of the concert, we got to listen to the graceful melody of 「Ashita no Kioku」 while watching the VTR showing Arashi’s 10 years history. It was at this moment that they wore the suit. The adult-like design was matching and the pastel colors were different for each member: green for Aiba, purple for Matsumoto, yellow for Ninomiya, blue for Ohno, pink for Sakurai.
Sparkling ★ coats
This green sparkling long coat was worn over the pastel suit (in the photo above), when 「Boku ga boku no subete」 started to play after Matsumoto’s solo. The other members also wore the same design, with the color scheme matching with their suit.
Here comes Aiba style
This was the outfit Aiba wore during his solo 「PIKA★NCHI」. Combining a ripped T-shirt, half pants, and a denim long coat, it is indeed a coordination with Aiba-style sense.

Fashionable from the start, MatsuJun style!!
A British taste
This was the outfit wore during 4 songs, from 「Everything」 to 「Typhoon generation」. A tartan check cloth around his waist, a sleeveless tailor jacket on top, in addition to that, a corsage made of badges on his chest. All 5 members wore different colors and designs, presenting a sense of uniformed colorful British taste.
The gold print on the back
When they took off the gorgeous gold X silver coat of the opening, the design of the inner black tops turned out to be all different. Matsumoto’s design was a slim fit shirt tucked inside his pants. On his back was a stylish print!
Broadway style ♪
The coordination for his solo performance 「WISH」 was of a musical style. His simple and neat black and white outfit had a Broadway flavor. It was a performance with a mature atmosphere.
Ninomiya Kazunari
Dazzling outfit & smile ♪
The gorgeous coats!
The coats covered in spangles and the gold pants. These were the outfits when they made their appearance in the opening, suspended from the gigantic balloon. In the middle of the sky, Ninomiya went on with his various poses, and the coat kept fluttering up high, sparkling brightly, making it even more splendid. With a big smile on his face, Ninomiya called out, 「Let’s have fun together! Make more noise! More, more!」.
Arashi T-shirts at the encore
During the encore starting from 「PIKA★★NCHI DOUBLE」, everyone changed into T-shirts! Ninomiya matched it up with a pair of simple red pants. To go with the casual color theme, he also made use of a check belt. The sparkling prince-like costumes were wonderful, but this casual and rough outfit was also so cute ♥
The orange color that stood out
This was the outfit Ninomiya wore when he sang and played the guitar in his solo 「Kotoba yori taisetsuna mono」. Casual jeans with a stripe shirt inside. The outside layers were a T-shirt and a vest. It was a casual taste similar to that of a musician in a band. Adding to that outfit a scarf with an impressive orange color, no matter how you look you’d find this really stylish.
Sakurai Shou
Cool & cute! A combination of both ♥
Red + black to finish the story!!
Everyone’s coordination was made up of mainly red and black. Sakurai’s version included a sleeveless long coat and pants with sidelines. They had these outfits on from 「Kimi no tame ni boku ga iru」 in the 10 years medley until the end of the show. Gold and silver threads, beads, and luminous decorations, these costumes finished the main show in excitement and wonder.
Stripes in different colors
This was Sakurai’s version of the costume set with British taste as introduce earlier by Matsumoto. While Matsumoto’s jacket was pink X dark blue X white, the color scheme for Sakurai was green X red X yellow.
The parka with spangles
A parka with spangles worn outside T-shirt + jeans, it was a stage edition of street wear. This was the outfit for his solo 「Tomadoi nagara」, when he had the juniors as back dancers and happily sang along with the audience.
Ohno Satoshi
Casual and relaxing Riida!
The light blue pop-style jacket
All the members wore jackets of a refreshing blue color and different designs to sing 5 songs starting from 「HORIZON」. By the way, the colors of their pants were green for Ohno, purple for Sakurai, red for Aiba, black for Matsumoto, and yellow for Ninomiya. The also performed in these costumes for the comically directed 「Allergy」.
Matching outfits for all members!
From 「a Day in Our Life」 until the MC, all 5 members wore these matching pink suits. Actually, their shoes were also pink! They also wore these outfits when they were riding on the trolleys specially produced for 「5x10」, calling & answering to each other ♪
NO.1 popular with the little kids!
This was the outfit of Kenta nii san from the drama Ohno starred in, 「Uta no onii san」. He performed the theme song from the same show, 「Kumori nochi, kaisei」 for his solo. Ohno said that 「It’s a little embarrassing」, but there were many many little kids who went to the concert wearing the same costumes!

MatsuJun’s live clothes-changing
1. During the MC, when MatsuJun went down below the stage to change his clothes, Ohno immediately……
“Hey!”
2. “MatsuJun, come up here!”
“… Okay”
3. As they continued with 「Don’t you always change your clothes right here?」 and 「But, today I think I should change my clothes in the back……」, he got back on the stage.
“I got it already”
4. As Ohno firmly forced him to do it with a 「Take it off!」 order, he offered no resistance.
“Goso goso” (T/N: this is the sound when Jun’s shirts’s taken off LOL)
“……”
5. In the end, it was an awkward situation of taking off his clothes right on the stage……
“Swiftly”
6. And then, Ohno gave him the T-shirt to change into.
“Here”
“Thank you”
7. Everyone burst out laughing at the two’s excellent teamwork play (laugh).
“Giggle giggle”
8. He wrapped a towel of the tour over his T-shirt, and so MatsuJun’s live clothes-changing came to an end!

5x10="BOND" LIVE INTERVIEW
Finally, we have the exclusive interviews with the members about the 「Arashi’s bond」 that they found during this anniversary tour! It has been 10 years since their debut in 1999. So much time has passed by, and here, once again, the moments and the events that connected the 5 of them during this live tour were……!?
Ninomiya Kazunari
It has already become a natural thing!
Our bond is probably something I can casually feel in my everyday life. It’s not like I came to realize its existence again in this tour, because it has already become a natural thing to me. Just that, during the live, when the 5 of us sang and danced together, I’d genuinely feel that 「Being with these guys is so much fun」.
(T/N: I fully understand what Nino said, but putting it into English was so difficult. Imagine the situation in plain English. Interviewer: “So after this tour, did you once again realize that the 5 of you are really close?” Nino: “Tsk… it’s already obvious that we are close, what’s with “once again” and stuff?”)
Matsumoto Jun
The 5 of us spent a lot of time together
The first half of last year was a period when we had a lot of dramas and solo activities, for the second half of the year, with the live tour, I have a strong impression that 「The 5 of us are together a lot~」. When we went to different locations to perform, all of us always did stuffs like eating together or gathering in Riida’s hotel room.
Aiba Masaki
I can always feel the existence of the 5 of us
Basically during this tour, from the beginning until the end, I always felt that the 5 of us were there. Throughout the tour, because the 5 of us were together a lot, we were also able to do things like having meals and chatting together. It was really so much fun, being able to meet all the fans while being with the members.
Ohno Satoshi
The night of our tearful talk
During this anniversary tour around the country, I had a natural feeling of our bond. Even when 10 years have passed, I never feel tired of being in Arashi! In the evening after our first performance in Fukuoka, we all went out to eat together and then returned to the hotel. Aiba chan came to my room and we talked about our memories while crying together.

The unity thanks to our 10 years!
During the tour, whenever we went out to eat and talk about trivial things together, I’d think 「Somehow, this feels so nice」. Moreover, there were a lot of moments when I could feel the bond between us and the audience. Everyone’s congratulations and our feelings of gratitude overlapping with each other, it was something I got to experience thanks to our 10 years.
