"Okay, I'm a sucker. I'll give this New Year thing one last chance."

So Christmas has come and gone. It was a very busy holiday that was overwhelming at times, but it was mostly good and it ended on a rather bittersweet note. Everyone left this morning and I'm simultaneously relieved and sad. I have pictures and stories to share eventually, but for now I just need to recover ( Read more... )

Get a life - Not sure what I meant by that, but, as I'm still alive and living, success!

So glad this one worked out for you!

Last night I tried to come up with 101 things for the 101 things in 1001 days community that I joined and I failed miserably...I don't think there's even 101 things i want to do in life, nevermind this year!

This is what brought on the book club suggestion, since I have JOIN BOOKCLUB on my list.

I don't think I could come up with 101 things either. That's a lot of stuff. I've never been in a book club before, but it sounds like a cool idea. I'd need a really laid back kind of book club, though...lol. You know, the kind without quick deadlines and big thinking assignments. ;)

I want to watch TRUE BLOOD...you know I'm all about the vampires these days....:)

I ended up liking True Blood a whole lot more than I expected to. As long as you're not opposed to lots of gratuitous sex and over-the-top gore, I think you'll like it to.

Oh shit...I can't do gore.like at all.

It's not too terrible, but it's vampires and it's on cable so obviously there's lots of blood. You can probably shut your eyes during those parts. ;)

The plan: for every Buffy episode that I watch I will ride the stationary bike or run on the treadmill for the duration of each episode. By my calculations there are almost 150 episodes total of the show. If I workout 5 days a week, that's at least 6 months worth of workouts. This is a brilliant plan! And, when I'm done with the show, I'll either watch it all over again or move on to Angel so the fun can continue. It's the Buffy workout plan. It's gonna be awesome.Haha! OMG - great minds do think alike! I have this exact plan in my head for me to lose a few pounds and get in ship-shape for 2009. I was going to get onto the elliptical trainer by watching an episode of Pushing Daisies a day...unfortunately from the first season's calculations, that's not a lot of workouts, LOL! Maybe a week and a bit but after the nine episodes, I will move onto Gilmore Girls, so yay ( ... )

Thanks! Gilmore Girls is another show I've always wanted to watch but haven't. Maybe after Buffy and then Angel I can watch that. I'll have plenty to keep me busy for at least a year and a half. ;)

Good luck with the pies! I'm sure you'll do fine. :)

I was trying to come up with resolutions on Sunday and only hit on a couple. Which I suppose is enough, especially if I actually do them.

I love your Buffy workout plan, and can't wait to hear your thoughts as you work through the show. It has glorious moments, and it has "bwuh" moments of suckage, but I still want to be a vampire slayer when I grow up.

I'm excited about Buffy. I'm so happy I've got the set in my possession now so I don't have to rely on Netflix. Based on what I've heard of the show and the level of fandom surrounding it, I'm sure I'll have plenty of things to say about it once I get into it. :)
