Yesterday I was walking the mall with my mom when I spotted a couple tops I wanted to try on. I asked my mom to wait outside the dressing room so I could get her opinion. After trying on one top in particular, I opened the stall door

That's what I think whenever I try on the low cut tops I have.

Haha, yes, I hate that. However, in this case, it's high in the front and open/lacy in the back. I ended up buying it, but I'm still not sure what to wear under it. lol

I completely understand.

The low cut top I have was a present from Miss B and it has never been worn outside the house. I know I could place a shirt underneath but it'll be me hiding my flesh.

I think the remark was uncalled-for, but I wouldn't let it bother you. There are bras designed to be worn under dresses and blouses with low and/or see-through backs. Go to a local department store like Macy's if you can't find anything at a less expensive retailer like Target. All you'd really need is 1 - 2 of these bras and you're good to go. You'll never again have to worry about whether your bra strap shows. :-)
