Tsk, Jean does not believe this. She is attempting to determine whether she actually does believe this on some level, and this is why she gave Rossi a line of bull. It is not, but in the absence of a support network, Jean has to play the part of moral cross-exam for herself. :P

Jean will eventually question her actions all the way through and decide that yes, she is keeping Rossi from knowing all for good reasons, not selfish or high-handed ones. Until then, she argues. With herself. Taking different sides. She is strange, a little. Perhaps.
