There wasn't a whole lot in the way of new X-books last week.
I got X-Men Legacy #240, and, while I'm still a fan of this book overall, I think the current arc has been derailed a bit. What started out as a character-driven story about Magneto and Rogue and their young charges has gotten lost in a lot of exposition about a plotline that I never

Wasn't it because his father wouldn't let him leave to rescue Rogue and Magneto without honoring his commitment? I just re-read it and I'm pretty sure that's why.

Vaipela, you are the hero of this story. Luiz may misrepresent your actions as simply trying to flee an arranged marriage (Luiz needs to make herself look better because she comes across as a first class douche.) but it took real courage to offer yourself up to save the others, even if it was while wearing a disguise. And it took even more courage -- but we'll get to that later.

Ah Magneto, such a nice piece of bravado. It's a pity for their sakes the Children of the Vault don't know you better. They might recognize it for what it really is. Not bravado, but misdirection. Keep their attention focused on you, not anywhere else. Keep them focused on what you are going to do, and not on what you have already doneAs Carey has reminded us, ( ... )
