I found myself really liking Astonishing X-Men this week -- for one thing, it had a conversation between Scott and Hank that was more in-character and made more sense of their conflict of late than any other recent comic. But I don't think I have much more to say about it, plot-wise; hopefully when the arc (finally!) concludes, I'll have more

I had the exact same reaction to Astonishing and it was nice to see the characters talking without it descending into instant melodrama.

Having read none of the Necrosha stuff (bar the new mutants tpb) it was nice to see what all the fuss (good and bad) was about in the hardback. It was nothing if not comprehensive and some of it was quite interesting. I've read worse and I've certainly read better so there you go.

I picked up the tpb of X-Campus when it appeared a few months back (I think I even mentioned it here) I won't say anything beyond the fact that the crack continues and gets worse (or better depending on your point of view)

I had about just about decided that Ellis & Jimenez were responding to my decision to get this series in trade by not ever finishing it. I imagine I will read it some day!
