Alex hobbles out of Squab's hull, favoring his right side.
"Oh god, I'm so sorry," Hank gushes,following behind him and making a fuss that Alex does not care for in the least.
"It wouldn't have happened if you covered me, like I asked." Alex answers, hissing to himself as he tries to walk straighter.
"I know, I know," Hank says, tugging his cowl off and heading for a mini-fridge before handing Alex all of his ice-packs.
Alex presses them to his ribs, making a wounded noise. The pressure hurts, but the coldness isn't penetrating his Kevlar. Frustrated, he undoes his vest and armor, revealing the expanse of pale, bruised skin. "Fucking crowbars," Alex thinks vengefully.
Hank grimaces, inspecting the wound. "I am so sorry, Havok," he says because they don't know each other's actual names. Alex just shakes his head. Hank sighs, biting his lip in the silence before asking, "do you want some coffee? I can make you some upstairs..."
