Alex is a stray cat that Hank just can't leave out in the rain when it suddenly starts pouring down so he brings him back to his shitty apartment and names him Alex after Alex Fleming and hopes that his roommate Sean doesn't kill the cat when he's high and doesn't make his cat high, omg, stop blowing that in his face!
But Hank feeds Alex delicious, delicious milk and tuna and Alex loves this big lanky human for letting him sleep in a warm bed because fighting the other stray cats for food and stuff was horrible and painful.
Then one day Hank wakes up and there is a blond boy in his bed who just wants to nuzzle him and purr because he hasn't quite got this talking thing down and he wants to show Hank that he's really, really, really thankful.

This is going to be way more goofy than porny, just as a heads up! Sexy things will still happen, just that I need to make Hank's life a little miserable first.

Hank can't look away.
The rest of people on the sidewalk push past him with their umbrellas and careless shoulder bumps, but Hank blinks through water speckled glasses and crouches down next to the wet cardboard box, cautiously sticking his hand in. The grey tabby in the box doesn't even flinch, as if resigned to its miserable fate to be alone on a cold, damp, rainy March night. Too many of Hank's heartstrings twinge all at once, and his heart actually physically hurts at the idea of leaving the cat out here in the rain
