SO. While Erik made a very flip comment about Charles making an adorable lab rat, we all saw his distressed, worried expression when Cerebro was actually in use. Charles was as happy as a pig in mud at the prospect of using his power and amplifying it to find other mutants, but all that Erik could think about was when Shaw was using him and honing his powers, and though he's only known him for a matter of days, Erik's terrified of losing Charles to the machinations of others, like he was for much of his life. Angst me, writer anon!
