Shaw genuinely likes Charles and Erik's relationship. And, you know, it's discriminatory against Complete Monsters to assume they can never do anything nice. He thinks those crazy kids deserve each other, so he keeps doing really terrible things ostensibly to try and get them to admit that they're in love.
Unfortunately for Charles and Erik, Shaw's plans to get them together usually involve kidnapping and torture.
Kids these days! It's like dredging up memories of their darkest traumas while simultaneously torturing them isn't even a turn-on anymore! Back in Shaw's day suffering drew people together.

"I am so happy for you," Shaw beams, his eyes crinkling between the curves of the helmet, his palm resting lightly on Erik's hand, which is tourniqueted to the wooden chair at the wrist. "It's just... I had such high hopes for you, son, but this is something more glorious than even I expected

Shaw looks around at the door and takes a few steps back. The first thing to appear is the barrel of a pistol, and then Charles rushes in, directing the gun to Shaw at once, and then - presumably remembering the reports from the CIA facility of Shaw's immunity to bullets - points it at Emma instead. She instantly shifts into diamond form and Charles is left switching his attention between the two of them as if hoping to catch one of them forgetting to use their powers. In between, he flicks his gaze towards Erik

Prompt made of WIN. Fill made of WIN. Love it love it love it! Shipper!Shaw is such an awesome idea and your execution was fricking brilliant. I don't know how you managed to make non-crack out of crack while still being crack, but... wow.

At first I thought this is going to be complete crack, which is totally ok, but it turned out to be even better. I can TOTALLY imagine Shaw in all his shipper glory with the finger breaking and confession to killing someone he "loved" because she rejected him. Wonderful fill!

Hee hee, brilliant. Simply brilliant. Magnificent. Just, wow! I love Shaw's logic! Its amazingly adorable in a slightly psychotic kinda way. And then Charles! Genius to come in covered in metal. It was so cute when Erik said "I love you too Charles" Are you continuing this? You really should, like I said, its absolutely brilliant!
